I have a Suzuki Grand vitara 2007/2008 petrol 5 door model requireing a 3 year service can you let me have any details of the work I should be carring out. Suzuki have quoted me £260 and I'm not sure...

The price seems to cover change of oil - filter - check of brakes etc. If Suzuki has done the work - you can rely on the service done.
If I were you I would ask Suzuki what has been done.

Do i need lock tool to change cam belt on a 03 grand vitara

I'd be first confirming whether you have a 1.6 litre Grand Vitara (petrol), or a 2 litre turbo diesel. The 2 litre petrol (straight 4 or V6) or 2.5 litre petrol engines are all chain drive.
If your engine is petrol then no lock tool is required (to hold the camshaft). Of course, there is a specific position that an engine should be rotated too before removing the belt from ANY engine.
If it's diesel, then although I'm unfamilar with that particular engine, the general requirement for diesel engines with high pressure injection pumps is "yes, you require a lock tool" to hold the injection pump pulley. As I think these are a common rail set-up, this requirement may not be necessary. Check with your Suzuki Dealer, or maybe someone else here will know more. A similar question may have already been asked and answered here too.

you can find the conversions in some phone books or a dictionary. or try metrics to standard conversion.com (i think) if the truck was infact made in japan then you definately have one of the best made. i bought two suzukys made in japan and the craftsman ship is much higher than the ones made in the states. ours ar 98 and 99 mods with no mechanical problems except the occasional brake jobs. everyone i know who have a suzuk made in the states have had probs and normaly starting in the 60k,s area gl
