During the recall work, the battery was probably disconnected. This will cause the security feature of the radio to disable it until the activation code is inserted. This code was given to you at the time of purchase by the dealer. If you don;t have, the dealer can supply it, The dealer should have ensured that the radio was working prior to your picking the vehicle up after the recall work, but these issues are often overlooked.
Assuming top post battery terminals, sometimes where the cable enters the terminal end corrosion builds up. Take it apart and wire brush everything real good. Always tighten the positive first then the negative. They make battery corrosion protection spray but grease or petroleum jelly works good too. If that doesn't do it, check if it has an aftermarket alarm system. That may be killing the start circuit. Good Luck!
you might have disconnected a power wire on positive batt terminal it sometimes gets unplugged get positive battery wire from top and run all way down to see if all connections are plugged in going to starter
Make sure key is off. Remove battery negative terminal, then the positive terminal. Now remove battery holder-some have a hold-down bolt near the bottom of battery, or clamps to remove. Take old battery out and replace with new, and secure the holding fixture. Attach positive terminal first, and last the negative terminal. Make sure cable ends are clean-use a battery post cleaner tool to get the posts and cable ends as clean as possible.
You can buy replacement ends, label positive and negaative and then remove them and clean the battery with battery cleaner and terminals with a terminal brush, next is to cut the old ends off as close to terminal as you can, then strip covering back about an inch and then clamp it to new terminal and hook back to battery. heres a picture of the replacement terminal and the cleaning brush, good day.
