Does the water smell like coolant? Are you losing any coolant from your radiator/reservoir? If so, you have a heater core leaking. It's a large job to replace, requiring removal of the dash.
If it doesn't smell like coolant, it may be that the drain tube from your a/c evaporator is plugged, and condensation is leaking into the passenger compartment. Look for the drain tube on the engine side of the firewall, in front of the passenger and down low. It should be a rubber tube that has nothing connected to it.
Other possibilities are leaking sealant around the windshield, bad weatherstripping around the doors, and leaks from sunroof (if you have one).

Hello i have a 2000 durango 4.7 and my ac only works on one speed. when i put it higher or lower it shuts off. do you know where my resistor is located. i keep hearing different areas

Hello John---On the 2000 Durango the resistor should be directly underneath the passenger side glove box. So if you look directly up from underneath the passenger floor, you should see the long skinny rectangular wiring harness with one -8mm screw on each end...A 1/4" drive ratchet with extension and swivel joint will make it easier to reach and remove. A new resistor is a dealer item only i believe, that costs about $18...I hope this helps...good luck with your Durango.

When a/c is on passenger side floor gets wet in my 2003 dodge durango

Check the condensation drain and make sure it is clear and allowing the condensation to drain outside the vehicle. This is normally located on the passenger side Engine compartment firewall area at the bottom. It most often looks like a copper tube that has been bent over at 90 degree angle toward the ground.

I have 2000 dodge ram and its leaking water on my passenger side floor board when i have the ac on . what can this be?

the drain tube for the drip pan under the condenser is plugged up. the drain tube is located outside the fire wall on passenger side of truck. (small black rubber hose). you can take a long plastic tie strap and insert into the hose to clear any trash out of the line without any damage to the hose. hope this will help!

Where is the evaporator on a 2000 durango

If you look under the hood, passenger side firewall, you will see the AC lines going through a case or through the firewall itself. The evaporator is right on the other side..

Rain water leak

Did you have the windshield replaced recently? This is typically caused by faulty installation of a windshield. Sometimes it can be fixed by adding windshield sealant (polyurethene, not silicone) where the windshield is adhered to the subframe - most likely along the bottom edge.

Need to change AC Resistor in 2000 Dodge Durango

Look on passenger side under dash area, where housing & floor meet, just about dead center. Blower should be right of where you'll see harness going to the resistor
