Ford territory 2006 TS, will not start. The key turns, all lights on dashboard working fine. Fuses look good, replaced battery with another, still wont start. Prior to it not working altogether, the car would occasionally not start on first start up, but on second try in turning the key fob the car would start up. Now it has stopped working altogether.
Check for battery voltage at the large terminal on the starter. THere should be power at all times.
Have a helper turn the key to the crank position while you check for power on the smaller wire at the starter. There should be power anytime the key is in the crank position.
If there is power at both terminals than the starter is bad. If there is no power at the large wire check your battery connection. If there is no power at the the small wire you will need to trace it back to its origin.
