Pretty sure there's a nut around the front where the shaft goes in, you may need to remove bottom panel to get your hand behind, then push small button on switch to disengage the shaft.

First off do you have factory lights or the aftermaket high intensity bulbs. if you do get rid of them and replace them and your multifunction switch (headlight signal light high beam wiper switch)

If you are sure the wire plug is firmly attached to the switch then the switch is defective. Return it and get a new one.

Likely you have a bad ignition switch AND, the radio probably was wired into the headlamp circut, Move the radio hot lead to an "acc" port on the fuseblock.
