SOURCE: anti theft system

The chip is in the key. Either the key has lost it's program or the transceiver is not recognising the key. Try another key if you have one.

2008 Chrysler P T Cruiser. I recently replaced the starter and then my battery. I thought went dead but that isn't the issue. The car will crank but won't start.

Question edited for clarity. Spelling of 'Cruiser', and 'want' to 'won't', which is a contraction of 'will not'.
Question moved to model category.

By removing the battery, you activated the anti-theft system and engine immobilizer.

Put the key in the ignition and turn the key so that the [battery](/topics-battery-chrysler/) is on, but the [engine](/topics-engine-chrysler/) doesn't start. Quickly push and hold in the override button until you hear the alarm sound once, indicating the alarm is disabled.

Autopage XT-74 Wire diagram for wiring back into my 2002 Ford F-150.

Question edited to what I think you were trying to say!

Unfortunately there are no installation manuals for that unit. You will need to take it to the original installer.

My anti theft went off after eating a meal at mcdonald. cannot stop it cant start car. took battery off for 3 days same thing happening went to start it it doesnt do anything no click no turn over theft...

Normally, putting the key in the drivers side door lock,
turning to the left, then to the right all the way
will unlock and disarm/reset the "OEM factory"
alarm system.

However, if your system is after market:

The Parking Lights Would Flash, A siren Is Going Off,
An LED Is Flashing As Well, and You May Have A Shock/Impact
sensor set Too High Too. Try The Following Procedure
To Disarm/Disable It.

To start with, you can identify which after market
system you have by using the FCC. ID.# found
on the back of each remote. Try a site
like WWW.REMOTES4SALE.COM
to track down the one you have in your hand.

Now let's put the system into overide mode.

As far as the valet/overide button, it's a hidden
device-switch, a little spring loaded micro button,
red or black possibly and is probably down under
the dash area, near your knee/leg. In some
remote start/alarm combos, the antenna on the window
glass will also have an override/valet button.
Older sytems will have a flip type toggle switch.

When you locate the button or switch,
turn on the ignition key, press and hold
in the button until the alarm chirps 1 time
(for toggle types, key on, flip switch in the
opposite direction, then key off)

This should over ride the system, and only the
keyless entry part, if installed, would still be
operating.

You would get a single chirp to confirm from the siren.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid. This is valet/overide/reset.
This should correct any issues like starter disable,
or anti-hijack. Your keyless entry, if installed,
will still be operable. The have it inspected for the
falsing issues you are experience at a local shop.

You would repeat the same steps to toggle
back into user mode.

My 1999 Corvette has an AUTOPAGE XT-74 LCD with it and after having sat for a couple of weeks, the car acts as if it is completely without a battery. The battery in the car is charged and is OK as is the...

If possible, disconnect the mail power from the LCD from the power source (fuse box, batter etc.) Than see if there is a difference. It may not have been hooked up correctly and is pulling just enough power even while off (just like a house appliance pulls electricity even when not in full use) to drain the battery so the car won't start.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Battery is fully charged , fuses good , car will not start or even turn over , all connections appear good

Sounds like the anti-theft system is engaged. If you do not have an after market alarm system on this car, go to a BMW shop and have them diagnose the alarm system. If there is an after market alarm system installed, you will have to find a stereo shop that services them to get the help you need.

97 mustang want start just turns over

no you cannot bypass it. What you can do is put an OBD I computer in it or there is a programmable ECM on the market now. These are very expensive options and alot of skill is involved. Where are you located?

Need to disconnect anti teft device. where is it located?

if you activate the anti theft on the jeep because of no remote, you have to lock and unlock the passenger side door twice to disarm it.
it is not easy to bypass the anti theft module.a place that installs alarms would be the best bet.get an after market alarm put in for about the cost of a couple remotes.or if you buy a used remote,it can be re programmed using the obd2 diagnostic unit.

Anti-theft system

First is this an after market system? If so you will have to find the box under the dash and disconnect it. also if it has starter disable you will have to repair the wires that the installer cut to install that feature. If it is the factory alarm it is behind the dash.
