I owned the 1995 4 cyl wide body camry till the cooling system failed in heavy traffic and over heat stripped out the head bolt threads in the block

the toyota camry engine designation is a 5S-FE

water pump is driven by timing belt
behind timing belt covers
they have to be removed to get to the water pump

normally timing belt, seals ,tension er pully and water pump are replaced at the same time ..comes in a kit

i dont have the 5S-FE cooling system hot under pressure specs

so I cant answer which inline electric pump pressure is required to work on the 5S-FE

I have a 1993 toyota Camry V6. I have replaced the air intake hose, radiator cap, air filter, thermostat, and coolant reservoir. Everday it still ovet heats. The water cames from the little overage hose on...

This could result from a thermostat which is stuck closed, or a failed coolant temp sensor not allowing the radiator fans to run when they should, but I think you have a blown head gasket. Overheating is a classic sign of combustion gases getting into the coolant. The pressure also forces it out of the overflow.

Warm up your engine a little, about half, and remove the radiator cap by putting a towel over it first. Then let the engine keep idling until hot while you look down the filler neck into the radiator......carefully.

If you see white bubbles like dry ice, that is a failed head gasket. If not, have a mechanic do a test for combustion gas in the coolant with a gadget like this

94 toyota camry xle v6 overheating noticed leak in overflow res.

I think the leakage out of the reservoir is being caused by the overheating, not the other way round.

This can be caused by several things:

- failed thermostat (not opening)
- failed temperature sensor (not turning on the fans)
- blown fuse or failed relays in fan supply (if electric)
- soft hose from radiator to water pump "sucking in" and preventing flow
- blown head gasket allowing combustion gas into the water jacket (less likely)

How to fit a fuel pump to a 1993 toyota camry wagon 4 cyl

You have to remove the gas tank .First lossen the gas cap to remove the pressure. the fuel pump is inside the tank. The tank has two bands that are bolted in place . Siphon out the gas from the tank. The tank will come down . remove the wiring plug from the tank. You can now remove the ring surrounding the fuel pump. Take off the old pump and replace it with the new one. be sure to notice how you took off the electronic plug. reinstall it. Replace the tank and refill it with gas. it should work . you may have to work the fuel pump around to install it.

I'd remove the thermostat and run it. If the problem continues, it could be head gaskets, but, v6 head gaskets rarely fail. Also make sure that teh rad cap is good; have it pressure tested.
