The location shown in the Haynes repair manual is incorrect. I need to know where to find the MAP Sensor, I can't see it anywhere.
It should be on the fire wall about center
It doesn't Freaking matter MAP or MAF it should be we're it always is Between your AIR FILTER n Throttle Body , on the hose or tube measure the air coming from your air filter to your engine throttle body.
This vehicle with this engine doesn't have a MAP sensor , has Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor

If it doesn't have a MAP, why do I get P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure, error code?
It shows it in the repair manual that my car has both a MAP and MAF Sensor.
How did you check for codes ? what code reader ? I have factory service info. no P0106 listed .You have to watch when using cheap code readers , will subsitute codes when they don't have right one installed in the tool ! Suggest you take your vehicle an have it checked somewhere else ! What manual do you have ? Haynes repair manual ,you have to watch those as well don't tell you everything !
Go to www.alldata.com get factory service info for a year ,for $20.00 . your haynes manual dosen't even give 1/4 of whats in the factory manual !
