1995 Toyota Tacoma AC Working Intermittently

I have a 1995 Toyota Tacoma. The AC works intermittently. It's been doing this for 2-3 years. Sometimes it will work all day. Sometimes it works for a few hours, then I turn the vehicle off and after awhile when i start it back up it works again. I'm sure it's not the freon or a leak otherwise it would have stopped working altogether years ago. Someone once said it might be a vacuum problem. Any ideas on things I can check?

This is a result of either a bad solder job at the factory or just bad solder. You can remove your gage cluster and remove and resolder the joints at the back of the 2 indicators. there are several sites on the internet that have specific instructions.

My blower wont work at all

Heater blower? Well it's either the switch or the blower motor. Probably the motor if you use heat or AC often, and it's happening intermittently. Test the motor with an outside power source (like another car battery), I bet it acts screwy. It may just be dirty, depending on where you drive, or some small animals could have made a home in there. Hopefully nothing has come undone in your dash, that's a mess.

Go pick up a $20 Chilton or Haynes manual for your truck, that will help greatly, it's worth the cash.

Good luck!

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. A few years ago, the heater started working intermittently. The heat incicator would spike, then quickly drop to normal. Had it checked by the dealer who adjusted a damper...

Have your coolant level checked(although I'm sure the dealer did ths) and next I would replace my coolant thermostat. I you are running the engine intermittantly hot, the condensor will not function, and this can cause your ac to cut out.

Why does my ABS light suddenly come on for my '03 2wd Tacoma Pre?it has 74.7K miles, and it just started. also, my ''fuel door'' light intermittently glows. wtf?

abs needs fluid and the door needs a new senor or the wires are touching cause the button works on a circuit so if the wires touch it will turn on
