SOURCE: 95 geo prizm hamonic balancer belt pulley

Wow!!! I don't think I would put that much faith in gorilla glue. I had the same problem and had to replace the hb pully. My belt ended up slipping and jumped a few teeth causing the car to be badly out of time. Fix it before that happens.

SOURCE: RELACING WHEEL BEARINGS IN A 95 JEEP GRAND

Front wheel bearings can be done at home rear wheel bearings will require a hydraulic press and an axle puller. Either job can be difficult depending on amount of rust and availability of tools. The front wheel bearings are an assembly and once the jeep is up on jack stands, with the tires, brake calipers, and rotors removed, it is only a matter of removing the axle nut and 3 bolts (which can be difficult depending on rust) holding in the old bearing assembly

SOURCE: speedometer does not always work 95 cherokee orvis need help

Sounds like the speedo sensor needs to be replace on the transmission. I've had a similar problem with my Jeep with the sopeedo not working then work after the tranny heats up then after a period of time the needle started to jump when at 100 km or 60 mph. I changed the sensor and the problem went away. Good luck!

How do I stop the harmonic balancer from rubbing the timing cover?

If the harmonic balancer (also known as the crankshaft pulley) is rubbing against the timing cover, it's important to address this issue promptly to prevent further damage to your engine. Here are some steps to help you resolve the problem:
1. **Check for Misalignment:** Ensure that the harmonic balancer is properly aligned with the crankshaft and that it's seated correctly. A misaligned or improperly installed balancer can cause it to rub against the timing cover.
2. **Inspect for Damage:** Examine the timing cover and the harmonic balancer for signs of damage. If either component is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
3. **Check for Loose Bolts:** Inspect the bolts that secure the harmonic balancer to the crankshaft. If any of these bolts are loose, tighten them to the manufacturer's specifications.
4. **Use Spacers:** In some cases, adding a spacer between the harmonic balancer and the crankshaft can help adjust the alignment and prevent rubbing. Consult your vehicle's service manual or a mechanic for guidance on the appropriate spacer size and installation procedure.
5. **Replace the Timing Cover:** If the timing cover is severely damaged and cannot be aligned properly, it may need to be replaced. This is typically a more involved and time-consuming repair.
6. **Seek Professional Help:** If you're unsure about diagnosing or fixing the issue, it's best to consult a professional mechanic. They have the expertise and tools necessary to assess and resolve the problem correctly.
Remember that allowing the harmonic balancer to continue rubbing against the timing cover can lead to more significant engine damage and potentially costly repairs. It's essential to address this issue promptly and accurately.

2001 Buick Century Custom harmonic balancer bolt size?

This is the bolt, but the answer is the size of the socket that fits it. If you don't have a full set of sockets and wrenches, doing job is impossible. If it is oversize, and I don't think it is, you can get larger specialized tool from Autozone for free and just a small returnable deposit.

Harmonic balancer seal-1997 plymouth grand voyager van

Depending on the amount of room to the radiator / fan shroud it is not excessively difficult to do if you have the correct tools. You will need a 1/2 inch impact gun , harmonic balancer remover, screw driver, hammer. a piece of pipe the same size as the outside dia of the seal and a hammer along with a selection of spanners and sockets to remove the fan belt and anything else that will be in your way.. IF the balance is held on with a bolt then the easiest thing is the impact gun. the harmonic puller to pull the balancer off with, the pipe and the hammer to replace the seal. the screw driver to pry out the old seal

I am needing to replace the harmonic balancer on my 1997 jeep grand Cherokee. Will you please send me replacement instructions? Also, I would appreciate any helpful tips and a list of required tools. Thank...

first you will need to remove the belt. then you might have to remove the electric fan. (depending on what engine you have) then you will need remove the bolt from the harmonic balancer. i think its a 21 mm. then you need to get a harmonic balancer pulley puller. you can rent one at your local auto parts store. install the puller and remove the harmonic balancer. then put new one on by using the bolt. reinstall all components in reverse. this one is pretty easy to do. please rate thank you.

Need bolt size to remove a harmonic balancer from a ford sport trac

Most fords are 15/16 inch. butyou didnt state the engine size. Youll also need a harmonic balancer puller and most parts stores can rent you one some times for no charge ( just pay for it and bring it back all together and you'll get all or most of your money back). with the balancer off you'll need to ut it or a new one back on You need a harmonic balancer installer to put it on as beating it back onewith a hammer will damage the balancer and the crank and even the whole engine. If you don't want todo all of this just take it to a mechanic that doesthis work all the time ad hasthe correct tools to do itright. Yes you can beat it off and back on but you'll likly do exensive damage. ( not always). If you don't have the right sized sockets andthe power impac to remove the bolt you had best just hire the job done as this is not a do it youself job unless your a regular ( work all day every day) mechanic.

Unplug the injectors, and shoot starting fluid in it to see if that helps any. Pull the plugs to see if they are gas fowled if this doesn't start it up briefly.

Hurt front end

not trying to be rude but do be sure the wheel is tight. a build up of corrosion on the wheel or hub could cause the wheel not to set n lug studs correctly. that would cause a knock noise and will shake the wheel
