My 07 freestyle cranks but wont start what can it be

start by running a scan for trouble codes

First clean the battery posts, to much corrosion cause cause a no jump start condition. Sometimes a cell or two in the battery is dead. This is why you can't jump start the car. Replace the battery.

i had this on my 05 freestar, and needed to replace the coil pack. it controls all the spark and there is no pick-up coil. about 85 bucks @ autozone

Check all the fuses in the fuse box first

With this new ethanol gas out now, folks may have to use ether again in cold weather. Good luck finding the air intake.

this could be a myriad of issues. go back through the wiring harness an check connections. also check timing belt to make sure valve timing is correct. there is a cam AND crank sensor on that car and if the timing is off one tooth itll cause ignition issues.

It can be faulty fuel pump or clogged fuel filter or its issue with starter or battery or may be problem with sensors.There are few possibilities that can cause these problem,there are few help links provided related to these issue. Try TSB 06-20-07 LONG CRANKING TIME OR NO START ON INITIAL
START ATTEMPT. Have dealer reflash the PCM. Covered under regular vehicle warranty or Fed Emissions Warranty 8 years or 80,000 miles.

check main fuses under the hood if not that take back to dealer and research lemon laws! BUY IMPORTS!! More reliable and don't spend $20,000 on $5,000 dollar cars!

P0336 means Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance. Try replacing the crank sensor next.
