You have a possible fuel or crank position sensor problem, or the ignition switch is going bad. You need to do some testing before replacing anything...parts are not cheap so make sure you are replacing the correct ones. If you need to select neutral to start at a standstill, the neutral safety switch may also be bad, but that shouldn't turn it off after it's started.

1995 jeep grand cherokee grinds when shifting into full time four wheel drive. What gear should the transmission be in when shifting four wheel drive?

Try neutral. or in drive, but just crawling. Give light pressure to the stick and sort of let it just fall into 4x4

NO 2 WHEEL DRIVE

You can't put the transfercase in nuetral the car won't move its prolly a all time 4-wheel drive if there isn't a 2-wheel sign on the gear shifer then it's a all the time 4- wheel drive

Shifting lever doesnt lock

Likely the shift detent mechanism is broken. It's inside the unit and can be reached by removing the trans pan. It should be just inside where the shift lever goes through the case.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalling and not starting

Since you've replaced many of the usual suspects (fuel pump etc.) you might want to look into testing or simply replacing the crankshaft position sensor or the camshaft position sensor. If you intermittently lose one the these signals it would cause the problem you describe.

Four wheel drive not engaging all the time

If it will go into one or the other part time or low it might be just an adjustment. if it will not stay in any position it is an internal transfer case issue. The shift forks have plastic wear pads on them and they wear out.
