It does not have an external filter you can replace. Nissan and other brands stopped using filters around 2001.
There is a sock screen before the pump inside the tank. It could be replaced.

SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter in a 2004 murano?

Hi, the fuel filter is removed together with the fuel pump assembly, which is on the left side of the fuel pump and it looks like a pineapple. You can have access to the fuel pump from the rear seat cushion..

Take care

How do I find out what's wrong with it?

Could start with cleaning the throttle body. Go to a tune up, plugs and wires. If you want to do a complete tune up. replace the plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, Change the oil and oil filter.

After getting fuel my2005 Nissan murano tries to die won't get up to road speed

Did you let the fuel nearly run out, or run out completely?

When the fuel level is very low, the sediment is drawn into the fuel sock at the fuel pump inside the fuel tank, clogging it, then clogging the fuel filter, and possibly the injectors can be damaged.

You didn't put diesel fuel into it, and you did use the correct grade of fuel. Just asking?

You may consider installing a new fuel filter. Before installing it, fill it with fuel injector cleaner-to give the system a good cleaning. This may help to clean up some of the problem.

More information always helps. Mileage, recent repairs, how it has been performing prior to any problems, etc.

If it's not tied to the fuel system or the fuel just installed, check the catalytic converter and exhaust system.

Good luck!
