Have you had the OBD codes read ? this should point you in the right direction as there are many conditions that could cause your vehicle not to start
Hello Anonymous,
Spark, fuel and compression are the required basics. Lets make sure you have power to the to the related fuel systems.
There is a 7.5 AMP fuse (22) located in block C-29 (the fuse block with the most fuses) which powers up the MFI system (Multi Port Fuel Injection) on the 4 cylinder 2.4 L engine. Without turning this post into a book...check all the fuses in this block (one at a time) engine off , ignition off. You can check the fuse for continuity or on some fuses... visually. Check the fuel pump relay. Autozone can help you here with their instruction guides @ Autozone.com under the REPAIR HELP tab VEHICLE REPAIR GUIDES. Start by searching for fuel pump relay.
Check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail (pressure gauge required) . (ignition on engine not running.) Or carefully (engine cold - catch excess fuel spillage) relieve fuel line pressure to ensure pressure exists.
These tests should provide some confidence that the engine is receiving fuel...or not.
Report back with an update....GL
PS: There are several engine management components
to look at when your on the AutoZone site. Start a free account, add a vehicle to "My Vehicles" and check under "Replacement Parts" - "Engine Management"

wont turn over??sounds like the timing belt has broke and pistons hitting the valves

Start with the old addage, "Give it fuel, Give it fire, and you will get what you desire." Check your fuel rail under the hood, it should have a valve almost like where you add air to a tire. Press the pin, fuel should shoot out of there. If not, its a fuel problem then you just trace it back down the line. Could be a fuel filter? Next, check your spark. See if your getting any to the plugs, if no, start tracing it back. Also, you didn't say if you recently replaced plugs and wires. If there are plug wires, which there should be, make sure they are connected to the right plug. If not your firing order won't be even close, so thats a no start. Check your fuel injection relay under the hood if you have one. Make sure it is working. This relay gives the fuel injectors their power. Basically, check anything that you need to make an engine run but start with the most basic first. Could be a bad MAF Sensor too. Also, don't rule out something crazy like a Crankshaft position sensor. There are ways to back probe all the sensors with a test light just look around online and find out what sensors you have and how to test them.
Testimonial: "My expert was SUPER helpful. Stuck with me through the entire situation even though we couldn't fix the problem but then neither could the dealer."

Yes. pass-lock has roughly a 10 minute timer.
Testimonial: "Thank you! I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for something non-related like a lot of other people have for the same problem."

Get a DTC scanner and see what it says...in the meantime, check that fuel pump relay and fuel pump. The humming sound is probably the heater blower motor or part of the HVAC system winding down after disconnecting from power.

1st Remove Battery cable from Battery because the only time the air bags will deploy is when the key is in the ignition. I have tilt steering and when I put the steering wheel in the up most position. I came right out. But now it seems to stick more lately.
