I got 2006 dodge grand caravan 3.8l. there is no spark in #2 and #5. and code is p2305. I change couple of coil pack still same. any idea. Thanks

You're barking up the wrong tree. P2305 definition is: Ignition coil #2 secondary circuit insufficient ionization. That's almost ALWAYS a spark PLUG problem. Insufficient ionization means the burn time is too short, which usually means the plug gap is worn requiring more volts to start the spark, which results in too short a spark. How old are the plugs?

2004 dodge dakota in limp mode wont go past 2000 rpm P2305 code comes on check engine light comes on can reset code but light stays on and wont go past 2000 rpm

Since you didn't say what engine you have, I am assuming it to be a 3.7 L. Code P2305 is set for insufficient ionization of the #2 coil. 1. Inspect the spark plugs for correct application, these should have NGK platinum spark plugs installed. Inspect the plugs for any signs of misfiring, such as carbon tracking on the spark plug insulator or the coil boot. Inspect for cracked spark plugs or incorrect gap. Inspect for any kind of fouling on the spark plugs. Replace the spark plugs or the coils as needed.

2. Verify the wiring is not shorted to ground from the coils to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

3. Keep in mind that anything that can affect the air fuel mixture can cause this code to set. Be SURE that there are NO vacuum leaks, the injector is not at fault, etc. Moving parts one at a time (spark plug; coil; injector) to "known good" cylinders is the best way to diagnose this trouble code.

2305 sebring

Hi A Vig, I'm glad to help! P2305 is a Secondary Ignition Circuit problem that will cause the Misfire code P0300. Sounds like you have already replace everything that would cause the P2305 code. Sense it's a circuit code, there is always a possibility that you could have a wiring issue. One place to check is where the wire lume runs over the front of the transmission. We've seen wiring issue here at the dealership a lot in that area. Check and see if any wires are frayed a shorting out, and also check the connector and wiring at the coil pack itself. I've found a broken wire there before. Also you might swapping the ASD Relay with another one that looks the same to see if it may be the relay thats defective. Hope this helps and have an awesome day A Vig!
