SOURCE: key is stuck in ignition and car wont start

When the battery is dead, the key cannot be removed. You can either charge the battery, and remove the key or, there is a access panel (small) under the steering column, remove this, and push a small pluger to the left, while holding the plunger, remove the key.

SOURCE: i found oil in my water reservoir what happened

First determine if it came from 'decaying' coolant. drain, flush coolant and replace with demineralized water. Run for a few hours and see if the oil returns.

If the oil comes back, you have a leaking head gasket. A 'true repair' involves replacing that gasket--a major job costing >$500 and as much as $1500. It IS possible the cylinder head or engine block is cracked.
A low cost 'fix' that can be permanent can be found on this website "http://www.rxauto.com/head+gasket+questions.htm" Report are very good for this product.

SOURCE: 1994 Saturn SL2 Key stuck in ignition cylinder

Put some pressure on the steering wheel in one direction or the other this may take the pressure off the cylinder itself and allow you to do what is needed...hope this works.

My key is stuck in the ignition.

Your car has several different ignition positions. They each offer slightly different functionality.
Off: In this position, the engine is off, and so are your electronic accessories (unless the delay has not expired yet). You can still turn on lights (headlights, interior lights, etc.).
ACC: This is the accessory position. Turn the key to ACC if you want to listen to the radio, play a CD or use other accessories without cranking the engine.
On: In this position, all of the electronics should come on. This is also the position that the key will return to after cranking the engine.
Start: Turn the key to this position to crank the engine. Let go of the key when the engine is running and the key will return to the on position.

I use to own a car that had an ignition that was ACC - OFF - ON - START.

Try turning your ignition one position clockwise and see if the radio turns off and the key comes out.

My ignition switch gets stuck in the ACC postion which drains my battery since the car is not technally off. The key will come out in the acc position and the car will start (after it's been jump...

If the key comes out in any position besides lock, the lock not the switch needs replaced. Most commonly caused by years of heavy keychains. They pretty easy to change out and not to expensive, typically under 20. Sounds like the little springs are worn. This will fix problem of being able to remove key in acc position. And in lock position should prevent a battery drain.

How do I remove the ignition lock on my 1998 Mazda Protege? Tumblers are stuck. Key won't go past accessory.

if ou do not have the key, look at the replacement lock there'll be a tab which recesses when the key is turned to acc or on position. It is that tab which prevents you from removing lock cylinder it has to be forced into a recessed position or drilled to where the cylinder can removed. If u do then locate tab turn key to acc or on and push tab to recessed position and remove cylinder.

Key locks in the ignition in the ACC position. can't take key out

when you turn key to acc pos that is telling the ignition to go into a accessory mode which runs the radio, wipers etc... but it doesnt allow the ignition circuit to run, and the key in most vehicles will not be able to come out, this is a security protection so that you do not leave accessories on that will drain the battery. The ignition key should only be able to be removed in the OFF position.
