How do I remove the front seats. can I remove them part way so I can get under the seat?

there is a small push in clip at the bottom of one of the small chrome shafts. you push it in while you pull the head rest up.

the bottom of the rear seat pulls straight up at the front and out. its pretty tight, you need to pull very firmly.

The seats have adjsutable levers for forward motions in which instance makes spaces at passengers area behind the front row seatings. Also,, the levers on the sides of the seats should provide shift movements to the back passenger seating rows to acquire drivers area seatings. Pressing the levers along the seating as adjustments should provide enoung accessibilty to objects that may have fallen underneath to floor of car. Refer to the vehicles user seating guides on how to manuver the seatings along with the levers provided.

get under the front seats there are 4 bolts holding the seats in the floor plus a torx bolt for the lap belt, take seats out the back seat has 2 torx bolts at the front bottom of the lower cushion remove them and pull the bottom forward the back has 2 bolts holding it remove them and lift the unit straight up, be carefull there is wires under the front seat for the seat belt warning light carefully unhook them 1 for each seat now you need hog ring plairs and a bunch of new hog rings to secure the new fabric, use side cutter plairs to remove old hog rings carefully remove the seat covers, hog rings can be got at car glass shops the pliars can be got from summit racing or a place that sells car uppolstrytake your time and you can do it!!

How to remove front passenger side seat
Always disable the air bag system first, to prevent accidental deployment of the air bags. The main airbag module is beneath carpeting under passengers seat. To remove passengers seat, At the rear of the seat remove the two bolts securing the tracks to the floor, tilt the seat up and towards the instrument panel, unplug any electrical connectors beneath and remove the seat. the front plastic track covers can remain in place while the seat track tabs are lifted out of the slots on the floor. Remove the plastic trim over the front and rear seat rails and you will see two bolts in the front and two in the rear, reach under the seat, disconnect the wiring to the seat and then remove front and rear bolts and careful pull seat out through the door opening, it is a tight fit don't damage anything, take your time.

If you move the seats all the way back you should be able to get at the front two bolts on each seat. If you move the seats all the way forward you should be able to get at the rear two bolts on each seat. Once the bolts are removed unplug all the harness under the seats and remove the seats from the vehicle.

I want to make my 1999 Mercury Villager Sport into a cargo loader, with just the front seats kept and the rest of the back empty. How do I remove the other 3 seats? So far, I can't get any of them to budge...
the middle seats come out easily. There are 2 handles you have to lift up on each of the bucket seats, they are in the front of the seat down by the seat tracks. After you lift them, tilt the seat upward in the front and rotate them backward. Then lift out of the hooks. Each seat is held down by 4 hoks.

The 3rd row seat is not designed to come out xcept by a technician. It does slide forward all the way up to the front seat. It has a sliding seat track.
First, lift the T handle under the seat cushion on the left front side of the seat. This will allow you to lift the seat bottom up all the way to lcok in the full up position.
Then, lift the lever on the same side of the seat and slide the seat forward. It will stop in 4 places.
Rear -Rear
6 inches forward of that.
another two ft to the second row seating position
full frward against the front seats.
