How many quarts required for a 2.5 engine - 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser

I found this BUT it sure reads like a LOT!

4.6L V8 engine with 1 row radiator 19.5L (20.6 quarts)

4.6L V8 engine with 2 row radiator 21.9L (23.1 quarts)

5.4L V8 engine with 1 row radiator 22.6L (23.9 quarts)

5.4L V8 engine with 2 row radiator 24.1L (25.5 quarts)

You must add 5 1/2 quarts of oil to possibly 6 quarts to it this is very much required but I'm positive only 5 quarts do not over fill the motor it can blow the engine or burn the piston rings because either too much or less is added

Depend on the size of engine.
4 cylinder engine 4 quarts.
6 cylinder engine 5 quarts.

HI. The requirements for both available engine packages are below:

1998 Volkswagen Beetle 1.9L Turbo Dsl SOHC 4cyl will require 4 7/10 Quarts.

1998 Volkswagen Beetle 2.0L SFI 4cyl will require 4 2/5 Quarts.

You do not list the engine size. This truck comes with 3 engines. 5.4 V8, 7.3 Diesel, and a V10. Your owner's manual will list the capacity. The add mark normally means add 1 quart on a V8. Add 1/2 quart wait 5 minutes and check the level again. The 5.4 L V8 capacity is 6 quarts of 5w20 with filter change. If it is a diesel then it requires a special oil for diesels which is 15w40 weight and it holds 14.5 quarts.

From my experience 4. but to make sure add 3.5 quarts then put the cap back on and run the car for about 15 seconds. turn it off and check the dipstick (be sure to wipe it off, re-insert, then check again) if it reads low add another .5 quarts and repeat Untill it is at full.

Also important it you would rather use small incriments rather than large ones because too much oil can cause it to foam, foan causes air, and air doesnt lubricate an engine verry well ;)

I ~think~ the 1999 is the same as the 2000 (mine is a 2000 P71)

The 2000 CVPI (Crown Vic Police Interceptor) owners manual recommends the following:

Rear Axle Lubricant - Motorcraft 80W-90 Premium Rear Axle Lubricant 3.75 pints (add 4 oz of Additive Friction Modifier C8AZ-19B546-A or equilavent meeting Ford Spec. EST-M2C118-A for complete refill of Traction-Lok Rear Axles)
