Can't get the check engine light to turn off on a 1993 subaru impreza

it will reset after 50 starts,or disconnect the battery for 5 minutes.
if the problem is still there, the ecu is storing a code.
that has to be fixed.
most common problem is the 02 sensor.

I can't find the coolant temperature regulator on my Subaru

Hello, your coolant temp sensor is mounted on the cylinder head coolant crossover pipe. If your standing at the front of your car with the hood open, if your looking at the engine the sensor is to the left of the throttle body under the intake manifold. I think it takes the open end of a 19mm wrench to unscrew it. There are 2 sensors back there and it's the larger of the 2.

Rpms drop on acceleration on 94 subaru impreza L

If your car has coil packs it is most likly them. Some Impreza cars especially the Turbo versions have individual coils built into the lead at the plug end. If your car has these then they crack down the side . If you take them out you can see a fine crack in the plastic. You cannot fix them, they have to be replaced. Check to see if you have them, it might help.
