it's on the engine and the battery PLUS lug cable goes to it
so follow the cable and bingo.
engine name GM. LA1.

first asks where, front lower right facing LA1
then how to get it out will be asked next?
oil filter just tad left and up.
chapter 2
Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LA1).
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
Remove radiator air baffle assembly. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.
Remove the starter motor BAT terminal nut and electrical leads.
Remove the starter motor S terminal nut and electrical lead.
Remove the torque converter cover. Refer to Torque Converter Cover Replacement (LA1) in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
Remove or disconnect the following:
Negative battery cable
Intake manifold
Starter electrical connectors
Starter

To install:WARNING Before installing the starter, torque the inner solenoid and battery terminal nuts to 70 inch lbs. (8 Nm). If not properly tightened, the starter may fail due to terminal or cap damage.
Starter. Torque the bolts to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
Starter electrical connectors. Torque the positive battery terminal nut to 70 inch lbs. (8 Nm) and the "S" terminal nut to 26 inch lbs. (3 Nm).

Install or connect the following:
NOTE
Before installing the starter motor to the engine, tighten the nut
next to the cap on the solenoid BAT terminal. If this terminal is not
tight in the solenoid cap, the cap may be damaged during installation of
electrical connections and cause the starter motor to fail later.

Here are the instructions on how to replace your starter.
WARNING
Remember
that the positive battery cable to the starter motor is electrically
"hot" all the time. You must open the circuit by disconnecting the
negative battery cable before servicing the starter motor.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Raise and safely support the vehicle.
Remove
the front lower air deflector panel by locating the deflector
retainers. These are push-in retainers and should be carefully pried
loose. Remove the ambient temperature sensor, if equipped.
Remove the two torque converter covers. They are retained by small screws.
Remove
the starter solenoid "BAT" terminal nut (the large one) and disconnect
the battery positive cable from the starter motor. Remove the S terminal nut and disconnect the solenoid wire.
Remove
the starter motor mounting bolts. Use care. The starter is relatively
heavy. Do not allow it to fall. Take note of any thin metal shims
between the starter and engine block. They may be required at
installation.
To install:
Verify the correct starter
motor has been obtained. Position the starter motor, including any
shims found at removal, to the engine block and install the mounting
bolts finger-tight until seated. Torque the bolts to 32 ft. lbs. (43
Nm).
Position the wires to the starter.
Install the nuts finger-tight, then tighten the starter solenoid "BAT"
(heavy cable) nut to 84 inch lbs. Tighten the starter solenoid S terminal nut to just 20 inch lbs. (2.5 Nm).
Install the torque converter covers and tighten the torque converter cover screws to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
Install the front lower air deflector panel by pressing in the plastic retainers.
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the battery negative cable. Start the engine to verify correct operation.
