Why does the Cruise control on my 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada stick?
totally unsafe and bogus now. a real man killerr'(ask Toyota why) grim.
4.3L engine?
ask Oldsmobile Bravada, maker for RECALLS in that
it needs one for SURE so ask them.?
the brake , reset must work or is and illegall unsafee device.
let me see why.
about year 2000 the old wild cable drive , CRUISE ended,and lots of crashes .,ended with that event. ,
modern cars fixed this danger with TBW, throttle by wire.
the ABS fuse 22 must be good or stop switch to cruise fails
this car has a CCM. cruise control module+cable and motor driven. cable.
your TB throttle body has cruise control servo motor
the cable is bad, sticks&rusty , I'd remove it and live a long life
on your next newer care the PCM sees this event and goes t0 max 20mph limphome mode, safer.
i'd pull off the cruise cable and retire the beast.
the CCM can not correct a rusty cable. so is a danger to lives and limbs.
be safe and live long, mate.
