2008 Ford Focus a/c cleaned & recharged, why is there no cold air?

Only 27k on 2008 Ford Focus, a/c blowing hot. Had it flushed?/recharged then ice cold BUT now 3 months later over night all fans ok, etc. but blowing warm air again. What could be wrong?

Could be gas has leaked out causing low pressure and no cold air!

Testimonial: "Thanks for the input but after I had it 'flushed' and recharged (what all they replace after clearing lines, etc.) it was ice cold as if new again. Just think very strange that in one afternoon worked great, used later that evening and warm air blowing??? Looked under dash for anything visibly loose... Nothing I could notice but I'm no expert. Everything is working correctly, lights on controls, knobs, fans and force which they blow and to switch to de-fogger fans work. Sounds as if compressor is kicking in? SO EVERYTHING is working fine EXCEPT for the ice cold air??? LOL! Thanks again. Any other suggestions? Could this be associated with a fuse? (don't laugh it was literally a b@%%! finding the fuse box! Again, thank you."

Ok, I misread your question, thought you had system flushed and then had not used it for 3 months and then it was blowing warm! The compressor could be the issue or a sensor faulty.....if it was a fuse or switch then the A/C light would not come on or the Eco light would stay on! Best to take it to an A/C specialist to have it checked out.

I have a 2010 ford escape..prob started as a coolant leak..took it to ford dealer, they repl water pump..a week later we noticed when u stop a red lite heater starts blowing cold air..took back to...

The performance of the heater indicates low coolant level. Pretty strange about the multiple water pumps, but if is is under warranty, you need to keep going back to the dealer. They must be missing something...

Heater not working on ford focus diezel year 2000

does your blower motor work or it just blowing cold air?
if it does not blow then check the fuse, the motor may be bad
if it blows cold air only then check your coolant level
check to see if the heater hoses are hot on both of them
if the hoses are hot then you may have a blend door actuator bad

Imtermittent fault with Ford Focus air conditioning

Sounds like a leak. If you've had to recharge the system every year, you're losing refrigerant. If you've added refrigerant on your own, you may have overcharged the system. The best way to find out is to get a refrigerant pressure gauge and check the pressure. A reading between 30-40 psi is in the normal range. Below 30 will require a recharge, above will require releasing refrigerant.

Heater blows cold air

maybe the heater matrix could be at fault, thats the bit that controls the temperature in the car.

2003 Fords Focus A/C

It sounds like you are low on Freon. Try bringing it to an A/C shop. They could do a recharge for you. Now days freon for your vehicle is alot cheaper than what it used to cost for R12. Good luck and if you found this solution helpful please rate it.
