The throttle position sensor is located on the side of the throttle body attached to the throttle shaft and held in place with two small screws, if it is bad you just replace it there is no adjustment. To reset the check engine lamp you need a OBDII scan tool which plugs into the diagnostic connector under dash on drivers side.

The OBD II code for P0400 is Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction.
I'm sure the only thing you have left is you may have to replace the EGR valve or check for any leak from the vaccum lines going to to EGR valve.

No, you need to clear stored codes to shut-off engine light. And if you reset the computer and the light comes back on then you still have a problem. The way it operates shouldn't change. Bad or corroded wiring or plug, can set off a code. If available, use a scan-tool to look at the sensors parameters. If you have repaired the problem then the way it opperates will be back to normal, is it?

there is no adjustment on these tps's it's a drive by wire system. If you don't know the vehicle, dont post!
there's 2 sensors contained in the pedal sensor, and one on the throttle plate shaft, more often than not, it's the pedal sensor, and if you replaced that, it's the other one or a loose connection. did you reset the computer after replacing the pedal?
