Bad crank sensor usually is the cause. Or fuel delivery

2004 GMC ENVOY RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF BUT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP? ALSO WHAT CAUSES HEAT TO STAY ON ON ONE SIDE EVEN THO THE A/C IS ON AND BLOWS COLD FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Temperature blend door actuator is probably stuck on heat position , needs replacing more then likely. Videos on youtube showing how to replace it .

Now as far as it shutting down , that could be any number of thing's , could cost a lot of time an money tracking that down . It would be best if when it shut off it wouldn't restart ,easier to fix that way .

I have a 06 gmc envoy xl 4.2...battery meter fluctuates back and forth from 14 Down to 9. When it does this and u have to shut it off it will not start back up without a jump. Alternator and battery were...

Bad plug or broken wire at the plug, at the alternator. Pull the plug off the alternator. Turn the key on and check for power and ground at the leads. No reading, probe the wires a couple inches back. If a read there fix or replace the plug. If you have a 3 wire plug, best to use an ohm meter. Test each wire separately. At the pin and a couple inches back on the wire. This test may include testing the wire back to the PCM and fuse panel. You'll need wiring schematics for this. The PCM is what fields the alternator to charge and supply power when the engine is running.

My 2004 envoy xl is reading two trouble codes. trouble code u1000 and p0300. is there a common problem that would read both codes?

Battery light is for the alternator. Not the battery. You can have it checked at a parts store. On the vehicle. The 300 code is for random misfires, all cylinders. This could be from a bad alternator. If the alternator is not putting out enough volts, it will draw down the battery. When the voltages gets to low, misfires are the first to happen. After that things start shutting down. Eventually the vehicle will just die. The 1000 code is a relearn/drivability code. Don't worry about it.

My 06 envoy denali xl shuts off while im driving it... what is the problem? ive changed the throttle body, ignition switch, and the crank position sensor. still hasnt fixed it

Hello
The engine and transmission in this cars drivetrain is fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s)

1999 Honda Accord randomly shuts down while driving

The ignitor in the distributor needs changed. This little guy can cause massive headaches. They work intermittently, but once warm, they knock the ignition spark off.

Hope this helps, vote if you think so thanks.

My car alarm randomly goes off on my 06 Charger.

I had an issue with an Aveo that would do the same thing... what I did to correct that problem was to diagnose all the alarm switch's.

I took all door switch off inspected them they looked fine I then check the hood switch and when I took it off I noticed it was corroded inside since I changed it the alarm never came on again.

I would check your hood switch it maybe the same.

Good luck

Ignition switch or key problem

hi there this could be either as both can wear out. try spraying some maintenance spray down the side of the key and work it in by turning it a few times. it could just be dry and hence sticking.

hope this helps Regards JR
