Ok, The other day I had a "service Engine Soon" light. The car was shifting really hard, and slamming into each gear. I have found that if I pull over, take my code reader and plug it in, I get a PO742 code. Torque converter circuit stuck on. I proceed to erase that code from the computer, and restart the car and it will run and drive totally fine, as if nothing is wrong. I have been doing it this way for 3 years and the car is running fine to this day. It hasn't cost me a dime in repairs, and I commute 500 miles/week. It's worth a try, because I have heard that if you spend 800-900 bucks to get it "fixed", the problem WILL return some day.
sorry i cannot access my codes at the moment as just re-installed windows yet again and its on the old hard drive and i do have back ups in on stand alone hard drive but my friend borrowed it which i will get back tomorrow after hes copied off a cracked version of XP from it ,so its a ford fusion with cruise ? never seen a fusion with cruise ,a mondeo yes and a focus but the fiesta i can say i havent ,have you tried looking for the code on the code reader as mine have built in codes that tell you what it means .
Upstream HO2S Sensors Swapped or this one
P0128....Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature) now if this a 2006 model built for the europeon market then your code reader is a waste of time as it will never read the correct codes and if your really lucky it could lock up the immobilisor as well this is to prevent general garages from doing any repairs so just take it back to a ford garage
P0882 - TCM Power Input Signal Low, this is a transmission code, I recommend that you take it to a dealer or qualified transmission shop. Hope this helps.
Did you have the computer checked to see what code or codes come up? If not and you have an Advanced Auto store near by they check computer codes for free. They hook up their code reader and it shows the code or codes and lists what the code means.
