Want to change fan on blower heater

Removal

  1. Remove wiper arms.
  2. Remove cowl panel.
  3. Disconnect blower motor electrical connector and vent tube.
  4. Remove blower motor retaining screws.


  1. Remove fan retaining nut from blower shaft through plenum opening while holding the fan from the engine compartment.
  2. Remove fan from blower motor while removing blower motor from vehicle.
Installation

  1. Hold fan through plenum opening.
  2. Install blower motor to vehicle while installing fan to blower motor.
  3. Install fan retaining nut to blower motor shaft through plenum opening.
  4. Install blower motor retaining screws.
  5. Connect electrical connector and vent tube.
  6. Install cowl panel.
  7. Install wiper arms.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Open the glove box door. Gently squeeze the retainers at the rear of the box inward and allow the box to swing downward. NOTE: If additional access is required, unfasten the glove box hinge retainers and remove the assembly.
  3. Label and disconnect the electrical harness from the blower motor.
  4. Remove the blower motor housing tube and/or blower motor cover.
  5. Remove the blower motor retaining screws.
  6. Remove the blower motor from the A/C evaporator. To install:
  7. Install the blower motor in the A/C evaporator and tighten the retaining screws securely.
  8. Install the blower motor housing tube and/or blower motor cover.
  9. Connect the electrical harness to the blower motor.
  10. Reinstall the glove box and close its door.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove the three push pin retainers from the lower edge of the auxiliary heater and air conditioning service cover.

  6. Remove the blower motor housing tube.
  7. Loosen the three retaining screws and remove the blower motor. To install:
  8. Install the blower motor and tighten retaining screws securely.
  9. Install the blower motor housing tube.
  10. Connect the electrical harness.
  11. Position the service cover and install the three push pin retainers from the lower edge of the cover.
  12. Install both rear passenger seats.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.

How to remove the heater blower fan on 92 chevy 1500

Heater Core - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
1991-92 R/V and 1991-98 C/K Series
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove the instrument panel glove compartment.
  4. Tag and unplug all electrical leads as necessary.
  5. Remove the center air distribution duct from the floor.
  6. If necessary, remove the ECM and mounting tray.
  7. Remove the hinge pillar trim panels.
  8. Remove the blower motor cover and then remove the motor.
  9. Remove the steering wheel and tilt back the instrument panel slightly.
  10. Remove the coolant overflow tank. Disengage the heater hoses at the core connections.
  11. Unfasten the attaching screws and nut and then remove the heater case.
  12. Remove the seven screws and lift off the heater case cover.
  13. Remove the fasteners and brackets that hold the heater core to the case and lift the core from the case.
To install:
  1. Install the heater core in the case.
  2. Install the heater case bottom plate. Make sure there is a good seal.
  3. Install the heater case into the truck. Tighten the 4 lower screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm); the upper screw to 97 inch lbs. (11 Nm); and the nuts to 25 inch lbs. (2.8 Nm).
  4. Connect the heater hoses at the core tubes.
  5. Install the coolant overflow tank.
  6. Install the instrument panel and the steering wheel.
  7. Install the blower motor and cover.
  8. Install the trim panels and if removed, the ECM. Install the air distribution duct and reconnect all electrical leads.
  9. Install the glove compartment. Fill the cooling system and connect the battery cable.


Blower Motor - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
1992-98 Models
(see Figure 4)
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right rear quarter panel trim.
  3. Disconnect the electrical lead at the fan.
  4. Remove the screws and if equipped, the cooling tube.
  5. If necessary, remove the fan retaining nut and lift out the blower fan.
  6. Remove the blower motor.
To install:
  1. Install the blower motor and then position the fan.
  2. Install the retaining nut and then tighten the mounting screws to 12 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  3. If removed, install the cooling tube.
  4. Connect the electrical lead. Install the quarter panel trim cover.
  5. Connect the battery cable.

How to replace a blower motor in a 1996 ford thunderbird lx

Removal
  1. Remove the glove compartment liner to gain access to the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly mounting screws.
  1. Use a small screwdriver to remove clip retaining hydraulic damper strut.
  1. Remove four screws and remove the heater blower motor assembly and blower motor wheel assembly from the heater blower motor housing.
Installation
  1. Using a new seal, position the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly to the heater blower motor housing with the flat side of the flange near the heater blower motor switch resistor (18591). Install the four retaining screws.
  1. Tape the heater blower motor power lead to the air inlet duct to keep the wire away from the blower outlet during installation.
  1. Install the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly in the vehicle.
  1. Install the glove compartment liner.

Where is the blower motor resistor in a 2001 dodge caravan se. I do not see it behind the glove box. I do see soemthing similar under the hood on the passenger side aginst the firewall but it is not...

Blower Motor - Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable, then wait 2 minutes before proceeding with the removal. This will effectively disable the air bag system preventing possible personal injury.
  2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel.

  3. Remove the A/C-heater blower motor cover.
  4. Disconnect the blower motor wiring connector.
  5. Remove the blower motor wiring grommet and feed the wiring through the blower motor housing.
  6. Remove the blower motor mounting screws.

  7. Allow the blower motor assembly to drop downward to clear the instrument panel and remove from vehicle.
To install:
  1. Place the blower motor assembly into position on the A/C-heater unit and tighten the mounting screws.
  2. Route the blower motor wiring through the blower motor housing and seat the wiring grommet in the hole of the blower motor housing.
  3. Reconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
  4. Install the A/C-heater blower motor cover.
  5. Install the glove box into the instrument panel.
  6. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Check blower motor operation.


Auxiliary Heater and Air Conditioner
Blower Motor - Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right quarter trim panel as follows:
    1. Remove first rear seat. Remove the second rear seat, if equipped.
    2. Remove the sliding door sill plate.
    3. Remove the quarter trim bolster.
    4. Remove the upper C-pillar trim and D-pillar trim panel.
    5. Remove the first and second rear seat belt anchors.
    6. Remove the screws securing the quarter trim to quarter panel from the bolster area.
    7. Remove the screws securing the rear edge of the quarter trim to the support bracket.
    8. Carefully disengage the hidden clips securing the front of the quarter trim to the quarter panel just rearward of the sliding door opening.

    9. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the accessory power outlet, if equipped.
    10. On long wheelbase wagons only, remove the quarter trim from the quarter panel and pull second rear seat belt through access hole.
    11. Pull first rear seat belt through the access hole.
    12. Remove the quarter trim panel from the vehicle.
  3. Remove the 5 screws mounting the A/C-heater blower motor housing to the rear HVAC unit (one mounting screw located on evaporator cover).
  4. Twist the blower motor out of scroll housing.
  5. Disconnect the blower motor wiring connector.
  6. Remove the blower motor from vehicle.

To install:
  1. Install the blower motor unit into the vehicle.
  2. Reconnect the blower motor wiring connector.
  3. Secure the blower motor into scroll housing.
  4. Install and tighten the 5 screws mounting the A/C-heater blower motor housing to the rear HVAC unit (one mounting screw located on evaporator cover).
  5. Install the right quarter trim panel as follows:
    1. Install the quarter trim panel in position in the vehicle.
    2. Insert and pull the first rear seat belt through the access hole in quarter trim panel.
    3. On long wheelbase wagons only, insert and pull the second rear seat belt through access hole in quarter trim panel.
    4. Reconnect the wiring harness connector to the accessory power outlet, if equipped.
    5. Engage the hidden clips to secure the front of quarter trim to quarter panel rearward of sliding door opening.
    6. Install the retaining screws that secure the rear edge of quarter trim to support bracket.
    7. Install the retaining screws that secure the quarter trim to the quarter panel in bolster area.
    8. Install the second rear seat belt anchor (if equipped), and the first rear seat belt anchor.
    9. Install the D-pillar trim panel and upper C-pillar trim.
    10. Install the quarter trim bolster.
    11. Install the sliding door sill plate.
    12. Install the second rear seat, if equipped, and install the first rear seat.
  6. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Check blower motor operation.

Without Air Conditioning

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner or air inlet duct, as necessary.
  3. If necessary, Remove the speed control module and the washer fluid reservoir.

  1. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the blower motor by pushing down on the connector tabs and pulling the connector off of the motor.
  2. Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube at the blower motor.

  1. Remove the 2 screws attaching the blower motor and wheel to the heater blower assembly.
  2. Holding the cooling tube aside, pull the blower motor and wheel from the heater blower assembly and remove it from the vehicle.
  3. Remove the blower wheel push-nut and/or clamp from the motor shaft and pull the blower wheel from the motor shaft.
To install:
  1. Install the blower wheel on the blower motor shaft.
  2. Install the hub clamp and/or push-nut.
  3. Holding the cooling tube aside, position the blower motor and wheel on the heater blower assembly and install the 2 attaching screws.
  4. Connect the blower motor cooling tube and the wire harness connector.
  5. Install the vacuum reservoir on the hoses with the 1 screws.
  6. If removed, install the speed control module and the washer fluid reservoir.
  7. Install the air cleaner or air inlet duct, as necessary.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable and check the system for proper operation.

With Air Conditioning
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. In the engine compartment, disconnect the wire harness from the motor by pushing down on the tab while pulling the connection off at the motor.
  3. Remove the air cleaner or air inlet duct, as necessary.
  4. If necessary, remove the solenoid box cover retaining bolts and the solenoid box cover.
  5. Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube from the blower motor.
  6. Remove the blower motor mounting plate attaching screws and remove the motor and wheel assembly from the evaporator assembly blower motor housing.
  7. Remove the blower motor hub clamp from the motor shaft and pull the blower wheel from the shaft.
To install:
  1. Install the blower motor wheel on the blower motor shaft and install a new hub clamp.
  2. Install a new motor mounting seal on the blower housing before installing the blower motor.
  3. Position the blower motor and wheel assembly in the blower housing and install the attaching screws.
  4. Connect the blower motor cooling tube.
  5. Connect the electrical wire harness hard shell connector to the blower motor by pushing into place.
  6. If removed, position the solenoid box cover into place and install the 2 retaining screws.
  7. Install the air cleaner or air inlet duct, as necessary.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable and check the blower motor in all speeds for proper operation.

How to remove the blower motor from a 1978 ford bronco full size truck?

Deluxe Hi-Lo Heater
  1. Disconnect the battery cable, remove the carburetor air cleaner and partially drain the coolant system.
  2. Remove the heater hoses from the heater core.
  3. Remove the glove box liner and remove the register duct by pulling from the instrument panel register and releasing the clip at the plenum.
  4. Disconnect the right cowl outside air inlet vacuum hose from the outside/recirculating door vacuum motor.
  5. Remove the rear housing from under the instrument panel. Remove the outside air inlet duct from the rear housing (4 nuts and 1 bolt) and install one upper nut to retain heater housing-to-dash after rear housing is removed.
  6. Remove two screws retaining plenum-to-dash (above transmission tunnel) and two screws to heater housing and remove the plenum.
  7. Install a piece of protective tape on A-pillar inner cowl panel, at lower right corner of instrument panel.
  8. Remove the lower right instrument panel-to-A-pillar bolt to hold the panel in the rearward position.
  9. Remove the heater core (3 screws retaining 2 plates).
  10. Remove the temperature blend door (snaps off).
  11. Remove the temperature blend door arm support (2 screws) and pivot arm retainer (1 screw).
  12. Remove blower motor (2 screws) and remove blower wheel.

To install:
  1. Transfer blower to blower motor and panel assembly.
  2. Install door arm pivot retainer (1 screw) and door arm support (2 screws).
  3. Install the temperature blend door (snaps on).
  4. Install heater core.
  5. Install the plenum (4 screws).
  6. Connect blower wires.
  7. Remove heater housing upper retaining nut and install the heater outlet (4 nuts and 1 bolt). Position the air inlet duct.
  8. Connect the white vacuum hose to the outside/recirculating door vacuum motor.
  9. Reposition the instrument panel, install the retaining bolts and remove the protective tape at the A-pillar inner cowl panel, lower right corner of instrument panel.
  10. Install the right register duct assembly and install the glove box liner.
  11. Connect heater hoses to the heater core assembly.
  12. Fill cooling system, install the air cleaner and connect the battery cable to the battery.
  13. Check blower motor operation.

Blower motor

PART 1
If all blower speeds are not working I would check the blower, but if only one speed is not working I would check the resistor block for the blower it controls the speeds. they use 2 different blowers in this truck I have to sent a second message with the rest it will not hold it all inthis message.

2001–05 Models With Delphi Blower Motor
  1. If equipped, remove the sound insulator panel.
  2. Remove the blower motor insulating cover screws.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
  4. Remove the blower motor insulating cover.
  5. Pull the retaining tab down while turning the blower motor counterclockwise in order to disengage the blower motor from the heater/ventilation module.
  6. Remove the blower motor.

To install:
  1. Install the blower motor.
  2. Install the blower motor to the heater/ventilation module. Turn the blower assembly clockwise until the retaining tab locks into place.
  3. Install the blower motor insulating cover.
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
  5. Install the blower motor insulating cover screws.
    1. Tighten the screws to 14 inch lbs. (1.6 Nm).
  6. If equipped, install the sound insulator panel
