Died while i was driving it.. but a week ago my ignition wouldnt turn off like it was locked
That means the battery cables are dirty clean them
or the charge system is failing.
the clinking is the sounds of electronics going nuts, with too low a voltage to run.
can be 4 things.
forget all those odd symptoms, the battery right now is dead
fix that first, (cause )

have you checked to see if the alternator is working? If it isn't the battery is being drained. You may have lights and all but the cranking power is drained therefore you don't have enough juice to start it. So check the alternator and if possible do an obd 2 scan at autozone or advance auto
SOURCE: How do I replace the Ignition lock?
Hi there, to remove the ignition lock, remove the steering colomn trim, insert the key and turn to position 2, there is a small button under the lock press this and pull the key, this will remove the lock, you will have to switch the tumblers over to the new barrell so that it works with your original key

it is an issue in the steering column. I am getting my 2005 back today, finally. 2 mechanics and they said they have never seen this issue before!!
The steering wheel has to be pulled off and the part replaced. It is cutting all power to the ignition switch. It is not the starter or the Alternator... it is in the steering column. It should be about 200.00 to fix.

check all your connections at battery and make sure they are clean and tight

Remove battery connections and clean them, or try twisting cables. The clicking is the solenoid kicking in. Your likely not getting enough power there to engage the starter. Other wise, your starter is probably bad, you can try tapping it with a hammer or what ever else you can hit it with. Don't try to kill it. If it starts after hitting it, its definitely the starter motor. Start with the connections tho.
