I checked for spark and it was a weak spark. What could be the cause of that???
The coil makes the spark. If it's weak the coil's secondary winding is bad. Replace the coil.
Not sure what year or model you are working on but a weak spark is most often caused by a failing ignition coil or spark plug wires that have very high internal resistance.
Testimonial: "It's a 99 Toyota Sienna 3.0 with one coil for every two cylinders"
With three different coils and wires involved then unlikely all three have failed at same time. Would check for a good strong ignition spark at each of the plug wires you can access. If no spark then would look into seeing if you have a valid camshaft and or crankshaft signal. If the PCM does not know the engine is turning with these signals or if erratic or missing then computer does not know when to fire a coil. Check for ignition spark first. Any check engine light or diagnostic trouble codes stored?
