Answer to how to replace door leather armrest

There should be two screws buried deep in the underside of the armrest.

Most likely 3 screws hold the armrest lid on.Towards the back.

See the crack, the arrm rest is in 2 pieces remove the side it is snap ,there is 2 or 3 screws inside

I would think that you could only get an armrest cover from a junk yard. If you went to the Ford dealership, they would probably want to sell you the leather for the entire seat and would be very expensive. Your best option may be to have someone make a cover out of matching leather by following the design of the other armrest cover in the car. Contact me at FixYa if I can be of further assistance. Door Panel

1. Remove the door handles and the locking knob from the inside of the doors.
   

If equipped with screw retained door pull handles, remove the screws through the handle into the door inner panel.

1. If equipped with remote control mirrors, remove the remote mirror escutcheon, then disengage the end of the mirror control cable from the escutcheon.

3. If equipped with a switch cover plate in the door armrest, remove the cover plate screws, then disconnect the switches and the cigar lighter (if equipped) from the electrical harness.
4. If equipped with an integral armrest, remove the screws inserted through the pull cup into the armrest hanger support. If equipped with an armrest applied after the door trim installation, remove the armrest-to-inner panel screws.

1. If equipped with two-piece trim panels, disengage the retainer clips from the front and the rear of the upper trim panel, using tool No. BT-7323A, then lift the upper door trim and slide it slightly rearward to disengage it from the door inner panel at the beltline.
   

If equipped with electric switches in the door trim panel, disengage the electrical connectors from the switch assembly.

1. Along the upper edge of the lower trim panel, remove the mounting screws. At the lower edge of the panel, insert tool No. BT-7323A between the inner panel and the trim panel, then disengage the retaining clips from around the outer perimeter. To remove the lower panel, push the panel down and outward to disengage it from the door.
   

If equipped with courtesy lights, disconnect the wiring harness.

1. If equipped with an insulator pad glued to the door inner panel, remove the pad (with a putty knife) by separating it from the inner panel.
   

To install:
If replacing the inner pad to the door inner panel, use 3M General Trim Adhesive No. 8080, glue it to the panel.

1. If removed, glue a new inner pad to the door inner panel.
   

If equipped with courtesy lights, connect the wiring harness.

1. Engage the retaining clips around the edge of the lower trim panel, then install mounting screws.
   

If equipped with electric switches in the door trim panel, engage the electrical connectors to the switch assembly.

1. If equipped with two-piece trim panels, engage the retainer clips to the front and the rear of the upper trim panel.
   
2. If equipped with an integral armrest, install the retaining screws.
   
3. If equipped with a switch cover plate in the door armrest, engage the switches and cigar lighter (if equipped) harness connectors, then install the cover plate and secure using the plate screws.
   
4. If equipped with remote control mirrors, engage the control cable, then install the remote mirror escutcheon.
   

If equipped, install the pull handle screws through the handle into the door inner panel.

1. Install the door handles and the locking knob to the inside of the doors.

1. Install the door handles and the locking knob to the inside of the doors.
   

That is the best fix. Even though you paid a lot of money for the car BMW hasn't figured out how to make decent door panels. They're stuck on this cheap fiberboard, waferboard panels covered with leather and vinyl. Then they put an occasional heavy duty bolt through it to hold on the door handle and armrest. Pull on it hard enough against the wind one day and bingo, the waferboard breaks and there really isn't a decent repair. Gorilla glue, epoxy, etc. might hold you over.

Wait til you get a leak in the door plastic. Then the water turns the waferboard door panel to mush.

You may try an upholstery shop, one that deals in auto restoration, convertible tops , etc. Auto parts stores are a good resource for info. Those guys behind the counter know a lot, and may be able to lead you in the right direction. You may be able to save a few hundred bucks, maybe more.

there should be 5 screws around the panel close to the border and most likely in the inside door handle
