SOURCE: how many quarts of transmission fluid does my 1999

Transmission fluid is about 5 qts for a filter change and 13 qts for a rebuild. I would check the dipstick just to be sure, if it has one. Other wise it has 2 bolts on the side of the tranny, one for fill, one for the level, fill it up through the top hole till it weeps out the bottom, it should be full.

How many quarts of transmission fluid should you add if your transmission was slipping so bad that the van would hardly move? 96 plymouth voyager SE..I have trouble seeing the marks on the fluid stick.

wipe the dip stick off and add fluid a pint at a time while car is running ,be sure not to overfill .this could cause other problems.the fluid should be up on the stick approximately 1.5 inches to 2.

How many quarts of transmission fluid goes in a transmission

The Transaxle of the 1999 Plymouth Voyager:
(note: all references to quarts are US, not Imperial.)
4 Clyinder engine:
The pan holds 4 Quarts.
If you only drop the pan and not drain the whole system, replenish with 4 quarts. More than 4 quarts will result in busted seals and other problems.

6 cylinder engine:
The pan holds 8.5 Quarts.
If you only drop the pan and not drain the whole system, replenish with 8 quarts. More than 8.5 quarts will result in busted seals and other problems.

Only use ATF+4 in this transaxle.
Do not use Dexron or Mercon

I don't have the owners manual for a 1999 plymouth breeze

Automatic Transmissions normally won't have a drain plug. You have to take all the pan bolts out and lower the pan to drain the fluid. you will make a mess!!

Factory correct power steering fluid for 1999 Plymouth Breeze

Just by a bottle labelled "power steering fluid" at local parts store, you'll be o.k., just don't let anyone talk you into using transmission oil as substitute.
