Look on the fuse panel door. There is a fuse layout.

SOURCE: brake and turn signal lights stopped working on my 1996 Ford E150

You might have cut a wire or it could have broken or disconnected. Try tracing the wiring where you hooked up the trailer you may find one broken or disconnected.

SOURCE: air bag light blinking

Every blink is a number. The code is composed of two numbers. Read the code and check what is wrong on error table code. By example at http://autorepair.about.com/library/images/bl797lib.htm, or you can google for the codes of the SRS. After you know what is wrong it gonna be easy to fix it (I didnt said cheap).

SOURCE: 97 Ford E250 Running lights and dash lights not working

best bet is get a WIRING DIAGRAM. you should have current (12 volts) on both sides of the fuse that works the tailights.if not there is probably a broken wire or a shorted wire leading up to the fuse. you kinda need the wiring diagram so u can see in which order the current "flows" which will help point u in the right direction.

SOURCE: Air bag light blinks 4 times then pauses then 4

Common fault on FORD
Usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat.

Just push it together properly and it should clear the AirBag fault

SOURCE: Where is the manual lever position sensor located

Dear Curlydrumzx,
This sensor is located on the left side of the transmission. It is the switch just below the shift cable.
To change it,you need to block the wheels and jack the left front side up.This is to gain access. Apply the park brake and shift the unit into neutral. On the side of the transmission, disconnect the shift cable and the bracket. Unplug the electrical connector. At this point, there are two bolts holding the switch to the side of the transmission. Remove them and pull the switch away from the side of the transmission.
You can reverse the order to reinstall. The only other step is to align the switch to the neutral position before you tighten the two mounting bolts. Ford has a tool #T92P-70010-AH that does this. They are available through aftermarket tool companies and can be rented from some parts houses. Some people can line up the marks on the switch. I prefer the line up tool, that takes out the guess work.
The switch has a list price from $100-$150. You maybe able to get it cheaper from other manufactures.
I hope this helps.Drop me a line if you need any other information. Thanks,Chuck

We just hooked up our Ford 1996 econoline van to a trailer. The trailer brakes are not working. We checked all the fuses - all seem to be fine. The fuse diagram on the fuse box panel does not tell you...

First thing is your van equipped with a trailer brake controller and is it working. This is usually a small box that is installed inside the vehicle and is needed to operate the brakes. Next what type of plug do you have on the vehicle to plug the trailer into some plugs do not support wiring for trailer brakes. If you have a aftermarket trailer brake controller it will not be fused in the fuse panel so you will to locate a inline fuse used to power up the controller. Hope this helps.

Crawl underneath the van and you will see two steel lines coming out of the transmission going to the front of the van. That is what you are looking for. They can be replaced with steel brake line from your local auto parts store, just make sure that the brass ends are the same. Ends can be changed if you or someone you know has a flaring kit.

Fuse box 1992 ford econoline

I have a 94 E350, and mine has 2 fuse boxes. One is under the steering column at the driver's seat, by the brake pedal. The other is under the hood, when you're facing the van it's just a little to the left and below the driver's side battery.

I have the 89-96 ford full size van chilton. I emailed scans of the fuse diagrams to [email protected]. The password is chilton. Go to asiamail.com, type in chilton for email address and chilton for password and click enter. Lem me know via that email if that was the wrong thing.
