YOU NEED FILL GAS TANK A HALF OF FULL OF GAS.IF GAS TANK GET TOO LOW OR EMPTY.I CAUSE FUEL PUMP OVERHEAT WHICH WILL DESTROY IT.GAS KEEP FUEL PUMP COOL AND IT LUBRICATES IT KEEP IT RUNNING.
Could be a plugged fuel filter or gas tank vent. A bad idle position or throttle position sensor could do this. You can check those with an ohmmeter in the ohm setting.

Try pounding on the gas tank with a rubber mallet or similar tool. (careful not to dent the tank) Try starting it. If it runs, replace the fuel pump (it's nfg). I've diagnosed numerous fuel pumps this way. Remember the pump needs to be replaced, if you drive it, you don't know when it'll fail for good. Hope this helps. Please post the results.
they are designed wih presure need to be in tank when you fill the car with engine runnig the gas cap removal will cause the engine to stall especially one with a week fuel pump.
