The PCV valve is located on top of the engine behind the intake. Little white piece with a black hose running out of it.

It will be a PWM type stay as close to same year as possible so as to not run into seperator plate issues.

There should be a "H" and "M" on the radio panel. Adjacent should be very small circles (same black color). Use a pen to push these "circles" in to adjust the time.

The PCV valve, if it's the 4.7L then it's located at the oil fill tube, you have to turn it and pull it out to remove it. Look like THIS part replacement.

Good luck (remember rated this).

Where is the PVC valve location for a 2001 dodge Dakota SLT 3.9 v6 eng

The PCV valve is inserted into a grommet in the left side valve cover with a hose running to the intake manifold. On the right valve cover is another hose running to the ducting from the air box to the valve body - the PCV valve is not on this side.

99 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT 4X4. Has P1294 code and fast idle when warm.

Well code 1294 is for the computer not being able to maintain the correct idle speed. So the code is because of the problem, not the problem because of the code.
Could be a major vac leak, or a problem with the idle air control valve, or the throttle plate is stuck open.

First turn the steering wheel all the way to the right. Then use some pliers to carefully remove the plastic retaining clips that hold the splash guard in place in the right front wheel-well. You should now be able to see the oil filter (incidentally this is how you access the oil filter). Remove the oil filter. You should now be able to see the PCV valve and its hose which connects to the intake manifold. Use pliers and loosen/slide the retaining clip up the hose a couple of inches (this will alow the PCV valve to rotate as you unscrew it). Use a "stubby" open wrench to unscrew the PCV valve. With the PCV valve removed from the crankcase it is now easier to remove it from the hose. Reverse the process with a new PVC valve and you are finished. Appoximate time 30- 45 minutes.
