You need to have the door forced open before you can access the hinges and remove it.
Remove the interior door trim and the door can be unbolted at the door hinge area. Examine the door on the undamaged passenger side before you do anything.
Does not have a fuel lid button. If it will not open it is usually the lock solenoid is not working. You need to remove the interior panel inside the car behind the fuel filler. You will see a solenoid that you can unbolt and remove to open the door. The solenoid will need to be tested.
Take off the interior door panel and look to see what is moving and what is not. It is extremely unusual for the motor to run and not open/close ALL four windows.
does the liquid have color if perfectly clear its condensate from AC evaporator, the drain may be blocked and need clearing. A red/orange color indicates the heater core or lines to it are leaking Dex-cool. As for the CEL have a auto parts store, O'reilys, AutoZone scan for codes and get back to me. The door handle will take some surgery especially on getting the interior panel off, hidden screws, wire connectors. Find a reference sheet for that
Hi, viewer. The interior light is powered and controlled by the body control module or BCM. However, there is an on/off button beside the main headlight switch that overrides the interior lighting function. If this button is off, interior lights will not come on regardless of any door being closed or opened.
If this button is on, interior lights will come on whenever a door is opened. If you close all doors, and if the driver door is the last to be closed, the interior lights will stay on for about 30 sec and then the lights goes off automatically. In case you left any door opened too long, the BCM has an internal timer that will shut off the interior lights automatically when it detects that a door is still opened and the allowable time has elapsed. The BCM is programmed this way to protect the battery circuit and functions. : )
Press and release the colored learn button on the motor head. You have 30 seconds to enter in the 4 digit code followed by the up/down action button. The light bulb should flash to let you know this has been coded. If this does not work include the brand and model number. Thanks BB
There is no inside release on the HHR. Simply press in on the rear of the gas fill door and it will "pop" open. Make sure you press it in again when you close it...
