4x4 5 speed. What other transmission will fit?

Swaps are the most complex topic on cars, near infinite possibles.
my guess is OE fit. (stock for stock)
all transmission match engine power rating
and some have same box but run special clutch (bigger)

you never said what engine, so cant really answer... right.
after all the bell housing flange shapes dictate fit. there.
and what clutch works there....
1996 had what.
Gen 2 troopers had. 5 engines.

3.2 L 6VD1 SOHC V6
3.2 L 6VD1 DOHC V6
3.5 L 6VE1 DOHC V6
3.0 L 4JX1 TD I4
3.1 L 4JG2 TD I4


my wild guess 2, is he 6vx1 something,.
the V6 engine.
id say all v6 transmission fit, off hand.

the hollander data base. (wreckers all use this (savvy ones)

i think the stock trans is, MSG-5F (up to 1995 and 2.6L max)
so get one of those an be sure it fits your transfer case?

this fits the bigger V6, (unstated by you)

Honda pass port, same engine, same box.?

the newer trans has and electric shifted 4wd section.
