full answered, too.
wana gue$$ or test. ? your call.
test 1, is blower blown, if not fix that 1st.
test 2,,, is the compression clutch engaged or not>????
that means the compressor shaft (behind clutch) spins at full speed. belt not slipping, sure.
the first step is learn to use a voltmeter
what is voltage at the clutch as it drops.
12vdc to zero (the amp logic is doing its job)
or stays 12v (clutch failure)
or drops to like 6v (bad wiring or relay)
???????????
this is how you do electrics.
The amp (logic) drops the clutch for up to 8 valid reasons. if it did,!
then i find that out next. (at the amp)
ask. it's not hard, with a $10 volt meter anyone can,....with simple help.
DEAD A/C has lots of causes.
Heater stuck on. (dampers wrong for many reasons)
blower went dead.
Compressor clutch drops for 8 reasons.
AMP logic did so for many reasons.
The amp saw icing in core.
the amp sees engine overheat.
the amp lost 12vdc power.
the relays are bad.
the fuses bad, loose or rusty.
the hi/low switch saw freon low and sent
0volts to the AMP ,then amp then (logic )
cuts the compressor NOW.
and more,,,
do you want to GUE$$ or TEST.
if you dont want to test get car serviced
if you do want to test, buy a voltmeter.
and we can proceed.
my guess, is you only want guessing.
right?
ok my wild useless guess
the A/C fan belt is loose and slips../

Sounds like you have a thermal issue with either the relay or clutch where they open when it gets hot inside the engine compartment.
Make sure the heater is turned off temp wise (no hot water entering the heater core) and judge the temp coming out. If normal temperature then the heater or flap has nothing to do with the issue.
You'll need someone to check the electrical circuits to make sure the compressor is working and then check the blend door to make sure the heater is not on.
If the compressor stops running it could be the compressor clutch or a relay.
