hot engine or cold, or both???????????????????
surging or hunting idle is complex but for sure the ECU has lost control of idle speed , there are 2 macro reasons, (vast causes)
1: ISC is stuck (in non SAE terms, the idle speed control valve ) is stuck.
2: engine is missing cause the ISC to GO NUTS trying to control
idle and can not.. the 50 reasons, , have list ask.
we do tests to find out if either or both the above are bad.
do you want tests, or guessing>???
too look or high i guess, low, right? EGR stuck open not tuned up,. new spark plugs? filters. there are many reasons, for bad idle, even a stuck idle controller.. over 50 reasons. but I listed the top 3.
The most simple reason is a vac leak or a faulty idle air control valve. The computer controls idle speed by the amount of air allowed into the throttle body. The throttle plate could be stuck open, or the idle air valve could be stuck, or you could have a large vac leak.
lots of folks (me too) would love to have your car. the answer is here. alldata dot com.
idle out of control this is a carb car? well there are 2 reason on that setup. 1: ignition timing way off. 2: carb bad. (top reason, chock on stuck and fast idle cam stuck there)
The idle speed is controlled by the E.C.M.
It is not adjustable. Attempting to do so will void your warranty. Take your vehicle to the nearest Suzuki dealership to have your concern properly diagnosed. Suzuki does not share certain technologies such as E.C.M. reprogramming and T.C.M. reprogramming with aftermarket repair shops.
