The ignition "control" module is internal to the engine control module. however the ignition coil is mounted right on top of the engine on the valve cover. don't forget to unlock the lock on the connector before unplugging it or you might break the connector trying to unplug it

SOURCE: key stuck in ignition

Take the steering column cover off and tap/hit the ignition barrel with suitable tool (small hammer)while twisting on key.It may be enough to loosen it so key comes out.You will have to remove steering column cover to swap with replacment barrel anyway .Get someone to turn steering wheel while tapping/hitting barrel as it could be the steering column lock pin thats jamming.good luck.

SOURCE: Dodge Neon code 1494

p1494 isnt for the purge solenoid it is for a mechanical switch failure detected in the leak detection pump. as long as the pump has vacuum going to it the likely cause is the pump itself. it is attached to the vapor canister

Location of ignition control module on a 2005 dodge neon

Hi Ricky,
It could be located inside the distributor, or mounted on bracket in the engine compartment or in the power train computer. What are your car symptoms? if it turns on, but as you're driving it turns off and it happens frequently; it could be the crankshaft position sensor. This was only suggestion that you might want to check out. I only paid $12.00 at auto zone for my crankshaft position sensor. Good luck and take care. :-)

They don't have an ignition module per say.. You firing is controled by the PCM, which is the computer and is locater under your air intake box, which has to be remover for access. How did you come up with the idea it was a bad ignition module??
