I purchased a 2005 Mitsubishi endeavor limited, when I turn my headlights off and turn my vehicle off the headlights stay on. I went out this morning to check the car out and found my battery dead.

What can I do to fix the problem because the manual says to go into the fuse box underneath the hood and pull the yellow container up so I did, it turned off the lights and the alarm. Please help me fix this problem.

I agree with earlier post. I have found that in Mitsubishi relays do have problems. But considering the age of vechile an depending on where you live you may use lights more than other place an it is normal wear. Sometimes you can tape on that relay an feel it humming or vibrating. Mostly they just hang up an wont go out.

Your best bet is to get a hold of the wiring schematic and see what items control the on/off cycle of your lights. If there is a relay involved and it goes bad, it might just stay in the closed position and leave lights on to drain battery while car is not in operation. Will be somewhere in the ignition circuit and it should get turned off when you remove the key.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. MY 2005 MITSUBISHI ENDEAVOR LIMITED CRANKS FOR SOMETIME(30-40 SECONDS) BEFORE STARTING?

might be a fuel issue. try this. turn the key like you are going to start the car and you should hear the fuel pump. but don't turn it so far the engine starter turns. then turn it off. then repeat. do this 3 times and then try starting the car. what this does is builds up fuel pressure easier. if it works then you might have a fuel leak or a fuel filter might be clogged or the fuel pump is going.

Starter?

Sounds like you have a weak battery..try giving it a good charge and try again many times engines will not start with a battery that turns the engine over but not fast enough to start.. Good luck.

2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor won't start. I turn the key and nothing happens. The interior lights are dim and headlights are normal. Had it jumped and same thing happens. Where is the problem? thanks.

I had the same problem too..My battery was stone dead..My lights were on but their probably isnt enough cranking amps to start the truck...I would take the battery out and charge it overnight and then try to crank it in the morning...i just changed the battery and the truck started right up

On my 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor green light blinkin on a/c button ????? its charged with proper coolent but still blows worm air

One of the first things I would check is to see if the A/C compressor clutch is engaging. It's easiest if you have someone else to help. Open your hood and have someone standing in front of the vehicle. Start your vehicle and press the A/C button to turn on the A/C. When you press the button have the other person standing outside the vehicle listen for a clicking sound. If they hear it then it's engaging properly, but if not then there is a problem with your A/C clutch. Let me know if this helps.
