There are a bunch of connectors. In the steering column, in the dash, in the front of the car, in the console. If you have side air bags, they will be there also. You need to have it scanned , so you won't have to tear the car apart looking for connectors.

The ABS dashboard light is always on, where are the ABS sensors located?

The ABS sensors are in airbags depending on the model you have. Best way is to use a ODBII reader to check the airbags to find the fault.

Some alfa's have issues with the connectors coming loose, it is common in the 147 and 156 for people to end up soldering the connector under the passenger seat.

1998 jeep cherokee, the airbag warning light periodically comes on while the speedometer drops to zero at the same time, lasts a few minutes then goes away, any ideas on the cause would be aappreciated

these jeeps are known for corrosion issues at the connector at the back of the instrument panel cluster causing the gauges to do odd things. if you remove the gauge pod assembly and undo the connector, check for any corrosion and clean as best as possible. fairly common issue. good luck!

The airbag light comes on in the dash cluster

Ummm, a broken airbag is a big deal to me! I like my head, and want to keep it un-smashed. My airbag light started coming on when I was driving and turned corners. Turned out my clockspring connector was broken. A replacement was around $130 and was very easy to install. Just disconnect the negative on your battery, then pull the airbag module by removing the two (I think) 8mm bolts from behind the steering wheel then pull the airbag off and carefully remove the connectors from the back of the airbag. Now (I'm going from memory here...) use an impact wrench to back off the steering nut, and use the puller to get the wheel off. Last, remove the screws connector and pop off the old clockspring. Put the new one on (Don't forget to pull the retainer AFTER you install the new clockspring) and reassemble everything else. The wheel is keyed so it only goes on one way, don't force it, the wheel nut will seat the wheel.

Airbag Warning Light. Clears with reset, but comes on again

Most definitely electrical problem. Though GM connectors are quite reliable - they sometimes get misconnected or you have a poor connection. get it cehcked.

2001 PT Cruiser Limited Ed. Airbag light keeps coming on and off and chimes every time it does. Is there any way to turn it off for now, its driving me bonkers?

There may be some reasons of coming the airbag light on your PT Cruiser. Some connectors could be loose under seats or sensor of steering wheel could fail. However it is really rear. Your problem is probably caused by common problem in PT Cruisers - by broken wire on driver's seat.
Before you start doing anything disconnect a car battery. After 15 minutes remove a plastic panel from the seat (the one you can see when you open your door). Than you will see a wire in plastic cover. It connects an airbag in your seat and yellow connector under the seat. The wire breaks near to the second plastic T-shaped part (looking from the top of the seat backrest). It is located where is a pooling line and rising seat connector wire - somewhere in the center of lenght of the seat. Put the seat backrest to the vertical position, push up the black plastic cube of the line to remove it and have some room to repair the wire, cut a cloth tape. You should have ***** white and red wires. Inspect the wire about 1,5 inch from the center of the place where was the center of the T-shaped plastic keeper. The wire outside will be looking as new, but coper lines inside used to be broken. Strech slightly one by one of the 2 wires. When you find the break just cut the plastic cover in that place, remove 0,25 inch of the cover from each of cut end of wire and twist the ends or put extra 2 inch insert of the same wire. Wrap the coper wires in insulating tape neatly and tape all of the wires together with the T-shaped plastic keeper. Put on place the line udjusting a backrest of the seat, the keeper and plastic cover of the seat. Connect a battery and check it.
If you are not sure where is the place whre the wire could be broken, it is exactly 30 centimetres from the connector of the airbag. TomasS

The airbag light came on and stayed on for no reason.

I have the same issue (which comes and goes often).
It is caused by a loose wire connection, used for the drivers side airbag located in the seat.. The connector for mine is located under the front drivers seat. There are a couple of connectors that are connected to a bar under the front of the seat. I don't recall which one is used for the Airbag sensor.

Airbag light

This is either a problem with one or both of your airbags or the airbag connector located at the back of the glovebox has been disconnected for some reason. (ie. to prevent airbag opening when installing baby seat) (1999 miata does not have a baby seat airbag disabling sensor).

You should get your car inspected at your local mazda service to check if this is a wiring (plug disconnected) issue or one of your airbags is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.

Flashing airbag light could indicate that either one of the airbags or both have a problem. Disconnecting the passenger's airbag has the same effect.

Warning! Do NOT attempt to do any kind of airbag/airbag wiring related repair yourself. Airbag problems should be addressed ONLY by certified technicians at your local Mazda service. (Airbag fixing requires for example that the car battery is disconnected, you MUST NOT attempt anything with the car battery connected).

Hope this helps.
