I am guessing that you have the 3.6 liter engine. There is a plastic cover on the engine it has to be removed it just pulls off, it might feel like it pulls a little hard at first but it will come off. Then you will see it right behind the air intake hose. Even if you have the 6.0 liter engine it is also under the engine cover. Here is the actual procedure from gm's service manual, I am a 100% trained gm certified technician and also an ASE master technician. I hope that this helped.

Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid

Notice: When adding fluid or making a complete fluid change, always use the proper power steering fluid. Failure to use the proper fluid will cause hose and seal damage and fluid leaks.

Important: When checking the fluid level after servicing the steering system, bleed the air from the system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.

  1. Remove the engine dress cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement for the 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L engines, or Engine Cover Replacement for the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, or 7.0L engines.

  2. Clean the area surrounding the power steering fluid reservoir cap and level indicators.

  3. Make sure that the fluid level is at the correct level mark on the power steering fluid reservoir.

    • If fluid is hot, the fluid level should be at the MAX level mark on the reservoir.

    • If fluid is cold, the fluid level should be at the MIN level mark on the reservoir.

  4. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir cap.

  5. Important: Use approved new power steering fluid from a sealed container. For fluid specifications refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations.

  6. Add power steering fluid as required, until the correct fluid level is obtained.

  7. Install the power steering fluid reservoir cap.

If you can't find a power steering fluid reservoir under the hood in the engine compartment your G6 could have Electronic Power Steering . If you look up under the dash below the steering column you will see a electric motor mounted to the steering column !
The power steering system reduces the amount of effort needed to steer the vehicle. The system uses the powertrain control module (PCM), body control module (BCM), power steering control module (PSCM), discrete battery voltage supply circuit, steering shaft torque sensor, steering wheel position sensor, power steering motor, driver information center (DIC), and the serial data circuit to perform the system functions. The PSCM and the power steering motor are serviced as an assembly and are serviced separately from the steering column assembly. The steering shaft torque sensor and the steering wheel position sensor are not serviced separately from each other or from the steering column assembly. The steering column assembly does not include the power steering motor and module assembly.

I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT 3.5L V6, and I can't find where to put power steering fluid in it. Can anyone share a diagram, please?

Not all power steering systems are hydraulic. I think some G6 models have electronic power steering so no fluid is needed. Referring to the owners manual it appears that only the 3.9L uses a hydraulic system. If there is a reservoir it will either be tucked behind the alternator or mounted on that end of the engine. The top mounted reservoir filler cap is on top of the engine to the left of the oil filler cap.

Hose routing diagram for 2006 Pontiac G6 3.5 liter V6

On the 2006 G6, it is mounted to the power steering pump near the alternator. Remove the dipstick from the reservoir. The fluid level should be in the cross-hatched area of the dipstick. Add small amount of power steering fluid until the level is correct.

I had a water pump put on my car a 2008 Pontiac g6. Now all of my power steering fluid have came out. What could of caused all the fluid to come out?

The installer may have knocked a rubber hose off of the power steering pump whilst repairing the water pump.
Fill the power steering pump reservoir whilst the engine is shut off, then take a strong light and watch whilst someone starts the engine, and see from whence cometh the power steering fluid.
Be prepared to receive a power steering fluid bath.
God bless your efforts.

Where is the power steering fluid location for a pontiac g6 2009 3.5L

I don't know this vehicle but if it was me I would follow the pipes back from the steering unit and they will cease at the steering pump reservoir and allow you to fill it there.

Can someone tell me where the power steering fluid for my 2008 pontiac g6 goes?

This car may have electric steering. If it has hydraulic power steering the reservoir would be on the right side, in the center on the engine on a V-6.

The 4 cylinder has just electric steering and no fluid reservoir.
