MY OPEL CORSA UTILITY 1.4I BAKKIE LOSES POWER WHEN STARTING UP AND ENGAGING FIRST GEAR ALSO WHEN DRIVING UP HILL.BUT AS YOU DRIVE IT EVENTUALY PICK UP.

WHEN IT LOSES POWER THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TOWARDS THE THE FLANG GASKET BECOMES RED RED HOT.AND THERE THERE IS A SENSOR UNIT WHICH IS MEANT TO MONITOR THE EXHAUST AIR/FUEL RATIO.

The flashing engine light is the key. Connect it to a OBD2 scan tool and the code will tell you where the problem is. Garages will normally read the codes for free in the hopes of getting the work. A local garage will drive to you with a scan tool. It takes 3 minutes. Have a cold Fosters ready for him.

Hi there. I have a 2007 0pel Corsa Utility 1.8i and finding it very difficult to find any info/specs, regarding this model. Particularly being a 1.8i. Dont. I believe the 1.7 tdi came directly after?
It is a South Africa Special.

Tell me where does the thermostat of the opel corsa utility bakkie sits
If you follow the upper radiator hose to the engine usually you will find the thermostat housing it will most likely have two bolts . Make sure if you replace the thermostat to have a gasket and also some gasket sealer. Good luck !!!!
