Not good. It is low oil PRESSURE, not low oil LEVEL, although low oil can cause low pressure if the pump is scavenging. When was the last time the oil filter was changed?
I strongly suggest you read the vehicle handbook to fully understand the meaning of the light or indicator.
If the indicator is telling you the oil level is low, the computer might be just testing the system or the oil level sensor might be sticking or faulty.
If the indicator is telling you the oil pressure is slow to build, again it might be a circuit check or it might be an important warning.
A third possibility is a warning the oil filter is ready for a change.
This is a warning light in the diff that is telling you that the diff oil temp is outside operating parameters . It can be from low oil level in the diff , failing bearings , or simply an under inflated tyre ( flat) that is making the side gears work when they shouldn't be thereby generating extra heat for the oil
Verify that the engine has the proper amount of oil. The inertia from accelerating may be moving the oil in the oil pan away from the sensor and causing it to send a signal, then when you slow the oil levels out and the sensor go's off. I've had this happen alot with a taurus that I owned. The simple solution was to top off the oil to the correct level and the sensor did not come on again (until it ran low again, had a leaky oil plug on oil pan).
Needs to be checked at the dipstick,
Under the bonnet on the engine!
The warning light, on most vehicles,
Only comes on when the oil is drastically low!!!!
The yellow light oil sensor on Audi TT Quattro is the warning message for the minimum oil level has been reached !!! Check engine oil level by dipstick & fill up oil inside engine !!!
if only warning level oil is on , is not problem , in oil engine carter have a level sensor , securely is dirty , change it . now if RED oil warning is on,, Stop engine
Hello. All of the warning lights are activated by a sensor. In this case since the engine oil level checks out fine the cause of the engine oil warning light is a bad sensor. You should be under full warranty. Have the dealership change the sensor. Joe
