FIXED:Disconnect negative battery cable for 2 minutes, with the ignition switch in the on position, re-connect negative cable. The alarm may go off, Use the unlock button on the remote to shut it off. Shut the hood and start the truck. Hope this works for you as well as it did for me after 2 hours of wasted diagnostics. Good Luck!

Instrument panel 2010 grand marquis why does only my gas gage work

Hello. It seems the PCM unit on your car is defective/malfunctioning. On some vehicle makes and models, the PCM and ECM are 'integrated' in one unit. Other vehicles, there are separated. The PCM controls circuits like the ones you stated. I'd have the PCM 'checked' first then go from there. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

I have a 2010 chevy traverse the traction control turned off and now my traverse wont start

Do you know anything about modern automobiles , Computer controlled systems ( electronics ) ? Do you know happens when you turn the key to start ? Not like the old days -turn the key to start an battery voltage goes to an through the park neutral safety switch to the S terminal on the starter solenoid .
Now this is what happens

Circuit Description (Key Start)
When the ignition switch is placed in the Start position, a discrete signal is supplied to the body control module (BCM) notifying it that the ignition is in the Start position. The BCM then sends a message to the engine control module (ECM) notifying it that CRANK has been requested. The ECM verifies that the transmission is in Park or Neutral. If it is, the ECM then supplies 12 volts to the control circuit of the crank relay. When this occurs, battery positive voltage is supplied through the switch side of the crank relay to the S terminal of the starter solenoid.

Do you know how the BCM sends a message to the ECM ? Do you know what a serial data bus is ?

Circuit Description
The communication among control modules is performed primarily through the GMLAN high speed serial data circuit and the GMLAN low speed serial data circuits. The modules that need real time communication are attached to the high speed GMLAN network. The body control module (BCM) is the serial data gateway between the networks. The purpose of the gateway is to translate serial data messages between the GMLAN high speed buss and the GMLAN low speed buss. The controller area network (CAN) is another serial data communication network used on this vehicle which is dedicated to the electronic brake control module (EBCM) subsystem for stabilization. Below are more detailed descriptions of the individual networks. The gateway will interact with each network according to that network's transmission protocol. Refer to Body Control System Description and Operation for more information about the gateway.

Hooking up a professional scan tool that will check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes in all the modules in the vehicle is how to start diagnostic's on your type vehicle .

2004 Mitsubishi Outlander. I replaced the battery but when I turned the key the radio AC lights all that came on but didnt start. I can hear the battery give off juice but the engine isnt budging.

Shut the hood and all the doors. Make sure they are closed and locked. Open the drivers door with the key to reset the security. It should start. If not lock it and open the passenger side with the key. Then replace the drivers side door latch on the door.

No crank on 2010 buick enclave , no ecm or tcm , abs communication

Sounds as if you may have failed to reconnect some wiring. If not, security system may need to be re-set. I don't know how to do that on your car, sorry. Are you absolutely sure you have a good battery connection? Clean all cables to battery and retry.

When replacing the engine control module of a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, do you have to get a matching key and transponder to make the replacement control module work? Thanks

Normally all you have to do is have the car and the key at the one place and with the computer that the dealer, has the key can be reprogrammed to the ECM/immobiliser. The same as if you loose a key ,buy a new one and have it programmed to the existing ECM
