Changed temp send unit and both thermostats. No change
Both are good responses
I would also check the coolant temperature sensor ( not sender ) as it may be notifying the ECM that an over heat situation is occurring because the resistance in the unit is faulty.
Did you be sure to purge ALL AIR from coolant system? If not it is likely to be airbound which won't let the coolant flow freely, due to the trapped air in the coolant system. I think you'll be satisfied after doing an air/expel purge of the coolant system. Hope this helps..
Check the wiring to the temperature sender unit. Sounds as though the wiring is earthing out some where.
