car runs great?, and door locks work, work engine running? (key fact not told) key on engine running this fails???????????? my guess is RAP fooled you? as it does vast. the car has RAP, and if using RAP and not knowing how RAP WORKS we fail. yes doors fail when RAP times out. sure does.(key off engine off) use door manual levers? manual levers are for safety , to exit any care with engine and battery dead.
both Electric windows doors fail.??? and master driver and switches fail on both doors? what battery not told we can not guess what hands did. car main battery LUGS pulled? the door buttons for windows are dead? all; door locks fail too , (buttons) simple it is. KEY failures are: just wires and switches , cave man simple.un like 1990 and back. fuse 29 blown, yes 30 amps
drivers door ground G300- not bad or both doors will fail hard. all; dead, the problem is in the drivers door the module windows switch driver top fail is wires broken there or wires in hinge boot. or G300 broken or its lug rusty
now RAP ( many folk buy newer car discover RAP) and are now confused 1990 had no RAP but thit car does
KEYOFF fails normally> retained accessory power. what is rap?,well it is this silly delay power thing
engine runningturn on radio.key off,and things still operate for 10 minutes! bingo RAPor until door is opened AND many things GOES DEAD.(after delay) head lamps by law always work, (and park lamps)
is this confusing?, the windows only work if the RAP relay is closed, ,or engine running (keyon) or key off after 10 minute RAP rules,. I will not read the whole 100 pages in your service manual and detail all things that are RAP. sorry will not. Duane tells it to techs. best , best video on earth topic RAP
This warning indicator is controlled by the BCM - body control module . You cant turn it off , you need to fix the faulty input switch that signals the BCM that the door is open .

check fuses first they are an easy fix. the chime is probably just the door switch wearing out Check at the door switches to see if you have battery voltage. then check to see if you have a good ground.
Had the same issue, both doors controls stopped working at the same time making the power windows, power mirrors, and power door locks all stop working. However, when the engine was off the door lock would work. It could be many things, but the fact that they all quit working at the same time suggested it wasn't an individual motor. I pulled the door main control panel and with a wiring diagram checked the continuity of each switch through the electrical plug out back. You can get the diagram off kiatechinfo.com
The main door control turned out to be good (expensive part). It wasn't getting power to the control, which meant it was either a broken power wire or a bad ground interrupting the circuit. The easiest to test was the ground. I ran a small wire from the negative battery and put it in the main ground wire on the back of "main door control panel". Worked perfectly on both doors. Apparently the ground for the door accessories are somewhere on the floor board, they corroded from a leaking sunroof. Never could find the bad ground so i just ran a new ground wire to it from the engine (drill a screw into body and attach wire)
It may seam extremely complex this problem however its likely vary simple. What you need to do is fine out what works and what dose not . Dose the keyless work on other doors the battery is G or NG. You also mention the remote starter stopped working and D and P position no longer works correctly with the controls /switches in the drivers side door only' not the other doors ..
The control panel for the locks and window switches are on the arm rest drivers door it tends to get wet rain snow window open over time bad connections /switch contact and that is the point you need to look at first . Get some electrical contact cleaner spray into the switches not to much spillage use a tube or it may damage trim materials .
Then use the controls back and forth if you see any improvement of function starts /then stops any change you found the problem .Its in the door.
