How do I get my 2006 Saturn ion idle to relearn?

I changed my Throttle body recently due to a constant code of low idle coming up. It was changed and now the idle sits at 1500-2500 and sticks even in neutral. Any suggestions, I'll take them all?

Try using a scanner tool to reset the ECM ,program

Seriously?! I know this is liek 7 years old, but c'mon!!! How helpful is that answer. I created and account JUST because there are so many lame responses on this site it is ridiculous!! If you cant answer the question properly then why even answer? TRY using a scan tool?! RESET the ECM?! There are so many things wrong here its a joke! Not all scan tools and do a relearn procedure. Not all cars even have this capability, pretty sure saturns dont. Reseting the ECM is not a relearn procedure, its a great way to fail your emissions test though!! Because you'll have tdrive the car for over 200 miles to get all the data back that you'll need to pass the test! Again, your 'answer' is a bit pathetic to say the least. I sure hope you arent an actual mechanic, that would be a shame to the profession.

How do I adjust the throttle body

The throttle bodies on most newer cars are not adjustable for its idle speed. If the Check Engine Light is on, go to the nearest auto parts store and get them to pull the error codes from your car's computer. Post the codes back here and we can give you a better answer to your question

Sounds like you may have disconnected the battery. Does the rough idle only happen when the defroster or A/C is on? If so clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner with the battery disconnected. When finished, drive it for 5 or so miles with the defroster / AC off to let the computer relearn the settings. This will solve your problem.

P2176=Throttle Actuator Control System - Idle Position Not Learned
Did you use all you old sensors,or is some of them from the new engine,I would swap out the IAC sensor or check for wires not hooked up.
If it can't relearn to idle the Idle air control might be different then your old one,but its not registering with the computer

I have a 2006 Saturn Ion, the code P0506 was displayed on the code reader with the message Low idle speed. Please help, I don't know what that is, or how I should go about fixing it.

The engine idle speed is controlled by the computer through the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve mounted on the throttle body. The valve may be faulty. Hope this helps and best wishes.

High Idle Issue

Sounds like the idle speed control motor is stuck, this could have been caused by the cleaning.
