I have a 1994 Nissan pickup truck I need the driver side door locking mechanism assembly diagram does anyone have one

Try taking off the inner door panel, usually attached with Phillips screws. In most trucks, this will allow access to the locking and opening mechanism. Once this is exposed, it should be relatively simple to pull the latch open.

I just joined 10 minutes ago.........I think I can help you.

Use a spoon or wide screwdriver to pop the plastic rivets that hold the interior of the door on. Takes some courage as they dont come away easily, about 8 in all.
1, Remove the window winders, by either pushing the "ring" that touches the interior till it stops and then slide the winder off the toothed stub.pop the cover off and use screwdriver/socket to remove winders.
2, Use old eating knife or wide bladed screwdriver around edge if soft interior of door and pry/pop the hidden plastic rivets, releasing the soft interior away from the metal or the door.

3, You may have to twist off the latch, just like a bottle cap.

4, You will see the wire coat hanger type metal that connects to the latch and locking mechanism.


If you have some grease with you you can also grease up the mechanisms for the lock, lock release, window, mirror.

That's how it is on my Volkswagen.

When you say door latch, what exactly are you referring to? There is the locking latch, inner and outer opening latch, or the door jam latch? Take the door panel off, make sure that the window is up, and then you will have access to any of the latches. The door jam lock/opening latch will have some screws in it, 3 total, you can take those out and off for better access to the actual door lock mechanisms.

Remove door panel and inspect lock area.Make sure nothing is interfering with lock and door handle rods.Lubricate lock mechanism with light lubricant.if lock still does not work, install new actuator assembly.It will be easier to remove lock assembly to properly install new actuator.Be sure to note connecting rods to lock for proper reassembly.It saves time to mark them with different color paint.It is also a good idea to always perform voltage and current test on any electrical circuit before replacing any components.

First, ya gotta remove the interior door panel....

Door Panel

1. Fully lower the door glass.
   
2. Remove the arm rest, door lock knob and inside door handle escutcheon.
   
3. Remove the regulator handle.
   
4. Gently pry the door panel away from the door.
   
5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Install the regulator handle (correct position) with the door glass closed.
   

Next you'll need a small ratchet and extenstion with socket...or a socket driver (like a screwdriver but holds a socket). Remove the two nuts attaching the handle to the door. Use a long thin flat screwdriver and pop loose the clip attaching the rod to the lock mechanism..
Manuever the handle off the door and then install in reverse order.

For the rear assemblies, there are two bolts per side. Look INSIDE the bed in the corners (behind each light location. The bolts are 10mm with a phillips pattern in the center. You can use a wrench, socket, or screw driver.

First you need to take off door panels and then you will be able to replace your part.

the lock mechanism itself of the driver side door is the problem.

you may try lubricating the lock mechanism and you might un-tangle what is binding in there.

something could have stuck in the locking mechanism.
