Ah the fun parts, all that HL delay and stuff. malarkey i call it.
it's all programmable. (and defeated in mine, i like it so much, not)

some are user settable others not , and varies by year, not so nice of jeep to do that... but did.
the operators guide, lost that?., covers this,.
if you have it guide and it does not cover your exact delay issue.
then that means only the dealer can change that.

easy huh?
( my head lights only come on when i command it and off the same)
that way if the battery is weak, I'M IN CONTROL. dig?
my key entry is silent too. that way, i can enter car , not attracting attention, nor inane flashing lights telling bad elements where i am.
security, works better silent and blind.

SOURCE: How to replace headlights on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

One long bolt at the top - requires a 7mm socket to remove the bolt. The light housing will pry out with a screw driver. There are three ball and socket type connectors that hold the housing in and I just pryed off the plastic housing carefully and "balls" pop out of the sockets. Finally, I was replacing the faded plastic housing and it came with a new wiring harness. It's impossible to reach the connector to use the new wiring harness that comes with the new plastic light housing. So just use the existing wiring harness with the new light assembly.

SOURCE: My 2000 Grand Jeep Cherokee Cuts Off

Code check is when you have someone put a scanner on it and read computer fault codes. "post" is what you wrote. Crank sensor would be my guess too but with jeep computer systems every good guess is usually wrong!(ignition coil will "break down the same way"

SOURCE: 2000 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 liter engine timing belt replacement

If you have the same pulley arrangement that most 4.0 engines have that pulley is an idler not a tensioner. Your power steering pump has a pivot bolt, and a slide under the pump. You adjust belt tension using the pump.

Rear light and brakelight don't work when headlights are turned on 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

My first guess would be a ground problem.
The headlights and tail lights are controlled by the same headlight switch, but the brake lights are on a totally different circuit.
You may have to get a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams needed to troubleshoot the circuits if the ground connections are ok.
The lights involve the body computer and other components.

Where is the headlight delay module located on a 2000 jeep cherokee

If your delay module is working correctly, you should be able to turn your headlights off first, then shut the engine off and by then, all lights will go off. never need to use my delay unit always shut headlights off then the engine.

The brake lights on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't shut off.

The brake light switch is defective or out of adjustment. More than likely located on the brake pedal arm near the top.

MY 2000 jeep grand cherokee radiator fan wont shut off.

Your fan relay should be under your Right Front headlight. Takes a minute to get to. 1 black plug and two small 1/4 inch hex head screws, to replace it. But try turning your A/C of and on a few times to see it that helps. Also check the antifreeze/coolant. If it's low it will cause the sensor to give a false signal in the 4.7.
