How to change head gasket rx300 2009

This is pretty involved as you must remove top of engine completely. Top cover reveals all your air intake manifold and there quite of hoses, brackets to remove as well. Do you know which head or you planning to do both? A YouTube video shows the process of changing valve cover gaskets, which shows the efforts required to start this job.

95 ford probe want idle after warming up

when cold idle is going, listen to intake manifold with hood open. This will involve getting real close to the intake side of the engine. If you hear a whistle or air draw from anywhere around the intake, there is an air leak to the engine. The intake manifold gasket maybe cracked allowing air to bypass the intake sensors at cold when the gasket is closed. But when it warms up, the gasket allows air to bypass the intake and causes a stumble, pause at partial throttle or a wondering idle. If you increase the idle speed, it confuses the cpu and causes the engine to run eratic.

My Sunbirdis bouging at the start, have changed fuel pump, sensor, fuel filter, throttle body.

Did you change out all of the gaskets involved as well? This would include the intake manifold gaskets as well. Sitting for two years, most of the gaskets have dried out and shrunk. Also check for vacuum leaks around all of the intake connections as well. You can use smoke or a spray can of either, or propane. When close to a vacuum leak the smoke or spray will be sucked in and in the case of the either or propane the idle will smooth out for a few seconds.

the intake manifold gasket at the #1 cylinder shifts over and causes a vacum leak which causes a high idle and sometimes a p0157 code with the ses light,,,,you will need to replace that gasket like a $500job,fairly involved,,,,with the car running spray water DIRECTLY at the #1 intake port area the one closest to the belt and see if it runs rough,,,,

1999 Pontiac Grand Am with "lower intake leak"...What does this mean specifically? Would this mean the intake for the radiator, gasket, or valve?

Usually intake has to do with the induction system, as in intake manifold , The intake manifold can have several types of leaks, the intake can have a vacuum leak, oil leak, coolant leak or a combination of any of the before mentioned....hope this helps,

Coolent in oil

If you have coolant in your oil there is 99% chance it is your intake gaskets. It is about a 6 hour job. You will need mechanical ability. This job involves removing every thing on top of the motor, including the distributor and AC pump. You will also need to remove the whole bracket assembly off the drivers side of the motor that the AC pump bolts to in order to remove the intake. Do not out off getting it fixed because the coolant will destroy the bearings in the motor. Also use the new felpro metal gaskets.
